**UPDATE: Adding an additional star for the prompt response of the owner. I greatly appreciate you providing us with our... refund** VERY unhappy with the service here. This used to be one of our favorite places! Service has completely gone down hill.Ordered carry out here, get all the way home and my order is made wrong. I call to inform the receptionist Melanie of this,state that I will bring the order and the receipt up for my refund, as at this point after getting all the way home to find thewrong order, I simply just want my money back for the one sandwich that was made wrong. At this point we don?t want thissandwich, not even a bite taken out of it, and I ask for a refund and we?re told no initially. Then I inquire further as to whyI am unable to be refunded, then this women she yells to the other employees, ?does anyone know how to do a refund?!? She thensays ?OBVIOUSLY none of us can do that?. No one knows how to do a refund? the woman on the phone was so rude and had nothing butattitude. She had attitude from the minute we told her our order was wrong. It?s unacceptable. So apparently the manager works10-5 tomorrow and somehow I?m should have to manage my work schedule in a way that I can be here while the manager is at work?!Absolutely ridiculous! The extremely polarized reviews here are funny to me. Let's walk through the complaints I see. First, I've worked in food... service in the past for many years. I'm currently standing at the counter watching my order be prepared. The kitchen staff areall diligently working at station's preparing orders, dough, and other food items. Everyone is gloved and using proper foodhandling practices. The floors and work surfaces are all very clean. The tables are all very clean. I don't see dust orrandom debris anywhere. The bathrooms are clean. The condiments station is clean. The soda machine is clean. I see zero foodsafety issues or any cleanliness issues. Even the overhead lighting and ductwork appear to have been cleaned recently. Thestaff were extremely pleasant as always. Are the tables, bathrooms, and some shelving in the kitchen a little dated. Yeah,kinda, but they are still clean and serviceable, and remember this is a local pizza joint, not steaks and wine fine dining. This is exactly the decor I'd expect for a pizza place. Quality of the food. This is really where Mancino's shines. The pizzaand grinders are honestly some of the best I've had in decades of travel. My order was prepared very quickly. Do they getbehind sometimes. I'm sure they do, every restaurant does. The margins in not-huge-chain restaurants are really thin, so youstaff the best you can for the EXPECTED work-load, but sometimes weather, or bad days, or some other external factors change theexpected number of orders. In those unavoidable cases, the STAFF who deserve patience, I'm certain do theirbest. Unfortunately the way reviews work is, many people who never review at all get upset with one instance and jump in todrop a one star, likely after many orders that they didn't remark on at all. Okay so I am kind of a high maintenance pizza orderer- as I have a gluten and dairy intolerance. I was super happy to find a... place that offers gluten free options and was excited to try this place for the first time. I ordered a gluten free veggie pizzano cheese, add pineapple. The veggie pizza was supposed to have green pepper, onion, olives, tomato, (and then the addedpineapple) as I don?t eat cheese, the veggies are kind of the star of the show. There was one tiny green pepper, one tiny onionsliver, no tomatoes whatsoever, and it?s basically just an olive and pineapple pizza. The GF crust was pretty good. I just wantthem to know that people who have food intolerances have very limited restaurant options. If restaurants do a good job,customers (like myself) will return over and over again. Best pizza in the area, hands down. The grinders are also fantastic. Way too big for one person to eat in one sitting, but they... reheat just fine in a toaster oven or conventional oven. Read more
I moved 45mins away. And I drive back there to get My Grinders. I just love them. The staff is amazing and very nice.
