Grand Slam falls somewhere between a bar and a restaurant, with neither seeming to be the management's preference. The... owner/manager has a reputation of driving of her staff crazy and turnover is high but the bartenders and wait staff aretypically top notch. I think patrons and employees alike would benefit from less micromanagement of the staff and their privatelives, more focus on the customer. Overall, an average place with above average prices. Some of the food is made with oddingredients, like green peppers in dishes you wouldn't normally expect them to be in and sweet sauces when you expect savory.Food can be inconsistent from one visit to another, depending on the cook, but some of their dishes are very tasty and the menuhas something for everyone. Went on a Saturday at 5pm and the place was quiet. A polite hostess seated my party of six right away but that was the end of... the fast service. It took a little over an hour to get our food. Our waitress Alicia was new but you could tell she was tryingher best. I sympathize because everyone was new once. Tilapia tacos were a hit with my son and the portion was large for theprice. Went for my husband birthday. Some of the best food I've had. Loaded baked potato wedges so delicious, amazing salad was so... filling and the Nashville Pizza did not fail. Then the blueberry cheesecake didn't disappoint. A great place to eat and it waskarioki night. We had a great time. Read more
