Definitely a great place to try if you?re willing to spend a bit more. The meal was about $50 plus the taco appetizer (didn?t... get it pictured because it was way too good to stop eating!) The pasta was delicious with great flavor. My husband?s fish andchips was ?good but not worth $25?. The service was good! Delicious! I had a strawberry watermelon white sangria, short-ribs risotto, simple salad, and key lime pie.
Staying in town for Memorial Day and wanted to grab some dinner. Google food near me and this restaurant came up, had pretty... good stars and was in walking distance of my hotel. I called in and ordered the crab dip and ribs. They told me the order wouldbe ready in 20 minutes. I walked over and my greeting was courteous but not friendly. My order was ready, I paid and left. WhenI got to my room I discovered I wasn't given any utensils. The crab dip had lumps of burnt cheese, the chips were over cooked,the ribs were tough....the membrane wasn't even removed, I didn't get the Mac and cheese, sweet potato fries were soggy andEVERYTHING was cold. Mind you my hotel is directly across the street. Extremely disappointing experience. Maybe dine in isbetter. Waste of $50! Read more
Recommended by hotel staff across the street. Glad I went... OMG the food is good. The Poutine is unique in that they use hot... malted vinegar instead gravy and it gives it a wonderful tart kick. So damned good and the textures were awesome! The Pork whitebeans were outrageously good too. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Will return. Many thx!! Read more
This is a great spot to grab some seafood for dinner. I had a giant cioppino with clams, oysters, and much more, and it was... excellent. And given the location it was really fresh as well. It was my first time ever actually trying clams and oysters and Iwill say that this dish really gave me a good introduction to them. Service was good and it was all packaged in a nice, cleanspot just a couple blocks from the ocean. I'd recommend this spot for anyone in the area looking for fresh seafood. Read more
In the off season, Just Hooked feels like a neighborhood bar - very relaxed and welcoming even when it is busy. We enjoyed the... meatballs, the boom boom shrimp. The tacos were disappointing- great mounds of red onion and cabbage but very little fish. Read more
We went here when they open at 4:30 to avoid large crowds due to Covid. Happy hour was from 4:30-6 and we got the Sangria... special which was delicious and had a little cinnamon spice which was different than most sangrias I've had before, and I ampicky about my sangria. I had the Cioppino which was incredible. So much fresh seafood and the broth was perfect for dipping thetoasted garlic bread in. One of my favorite meals in the OC/Fenwick area. The service was great, however the food was really greasy. We couldn't finish because everything was just saturated.
