Highly recommend! It?s family and locally owned. The food is amazing and the service from Stephanie was top notch. If you are in... the downtown Fernandina Beach area you must try it. Get the Seafood Pie! Read more

We stopped in here for the first time on a busy Saturday when many of the surrounding restaurants were full. We read some... mediocre reviews online but decided to give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, the easyambiance of the restaurant, and the excellent service provided by our veteran waitress Brittany. She was particularly helpfuland made our visit a pleasure. Will definitely return! Read more

I remember eating at The Crab Trap years ago and how good it was. It?s truly a shame to see a restaurant decline like this. The... food was very greasy and tasted as if the grease had not been changed in some time. And the famous fries are gone. Tasted veryordinary at best. Cocktails were not what you?d expect and I?m doubtful they even had a trained bartender on staff. I didn?tfinish my meal or drink nor did my guests. Don?t think I?ll be returning here again. I should have left the memory as it was. Read more

It wasn?t terrible, but we definitely won?t go back. It was a very small portion of snow crab legs at a ?market price of $33??... they were the smallest snow crab legs I had ever seen. For a place named the Crab Pot I would expect higher quality seafood. They looked yellowish and old, definitely not fresh. The building was very nicely decorated inside. Read more

I grew up with this restaurant and want so much for it to succeed in it's new evolution! I wanted to give a raving review! I'm... so, so sad. I went for early dinner on a week day at about 4. There were plenty of staff hanging out so no problem there. Butbetween lack-luster, negligent service, management that is standing around and not engaging with customers, (and there were only3 tables in the whole place!) and very disappointing food, it was an overall 2 at best. I got their fried seafood platter(onlyserved fried which I thought was restrictive compared to other seafood restaurants) for 2 and I can say the portion and qualityof seafood was wonderful. What wasn't: Supposed to have clams and had oysters and never mentioned a substitution. Breading wasby far the thickest and worse I have ever had. (See photos) Strange that they don't include hush puppies as that's a cheap itemand many places love to show off their puppies if they are good. Also weird you still get 2 sides instead of 4 for a platter for2. "Loaded" baked potato was a joke- sprinkle of white cheese and like 4 bacon bits. (In photo) No butter, sour cream, anythingfor the $3 up charge? And ticket time was over 30 minutes with an empty house and management on cell phone and chatting withstaff- he walked past me multiple times and never acknowledged. Just an overall poor experience. Please get it together! Wewant you to succeed!!! And PLEASE don't say you are new, it's a 'soft' opening- when you open a business do it right or don't doit -no excuses. Read more

Had my birthday dinner here last night and it was fantastic. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious and the She-crab Soup was... outstanding. True comfort food. Our granddaughter had the kids grill cheese and fries and we all agreed the fries were great. The mussels were tasty as well. The atmosphere was inviting, clean, and plenty of windows. Our service was prompt and verypleasant. So glad to see The Crab Trap back open! Read more

Newly refurbished restaurant with new ownership and menu. The king crab was fresh and delicious, but lacked melted butter for... dipping. The pasta dishes that my family ordered, clams & linguine and shrimp scampi, were lacking flavor, particularly garlic. The restaurant was also out of several side dishes and desserts, but our waiter said they had an unexpectedly busy weekend andwere working out issues with their vendors. It?s a very new establishment so they are still working out the kinks, but it has alot of potential. Great ambiance and friendly service. Read more
