I've been looooving Blue Nile for decades! I've been fortunate to viper 50 Ethiopian restaurants around the country and without... a doubt Blue Nile in Ferndale/A2 is the very best! Service is always impeccable. The quality of the food is just spectacular! Ido mean spectacular! While I have my favorites, every item on the veggie sampler is wonderful. I love that it is so very veganfriendly with a great variety of dishes to enjoy. I am perpetually thinking about going back, and I already am just 2hrs afterenjoying a meal there. Don't miss a chance to eat here! Read more

Delicious authentic Ethiopian food. We are so thankful Ferndale has this restaurant. We went for the first time Friday night and... it got a bit busy, so there was a bit of a delay in service, but didn't take away from the experience. We will be coming hereagain! Read more

We had a fantastic date night to Blue Nile last week. Atmosphere was beautiful and place was packed by the time we left. Food... was delicious, we had the traditional feast as well as the beef and chicken. Flavors are complex and deep, and every single itemhas a unique profile. The real surprise was how delicious the traditional Ethiopian tea was! Holy cow! We can't wait to return. Read more

Dined in the traditional seating area. Food comes out in one big round tray. You scoop it up and eat it with Injera bread. It is... a bit pricey. There is one fee per person. If I were to get Blue Nile again, I'd get carryout and then maybe fry up some pitabread. I was missing a crunch element with the traditional bread. I suggest you give it a try. The spices are mouth pleasing. Read more

This was first time here and I will definitely come back. They have a hand wash station right at the front door and gave out... hot steamed towels before your meal. I felt that safety was important to the owners. This is important because the meal ismeant to be eaten with your hands. The lamb was tender and delicious. The other member of our table was a vegetarian and heenjoyed the veggie selection. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Read more

I heard so many good things about this place from family and family friends alike, I expected a good experience. But I got far... from that, they made us wait 1 hour & 15m to even take our order, by the time we got the food it was pushing the 2 hour mark. Then they multiply the price of the food based on how many people your sitting with, they clearly want you to come here aloneand eat your food by yourself. The price of the food on soley based on party size & not portion. I nearly wheezed after eatingthis food, I walked out of this place extremely sick and Un-easy. On food looked pretty authentic, but the after effect had mefeeling sick. Read more
