Maybe it's my fault for not checking the reviews first but online order over an hour late so far. No updates online or calls no... email, nothing. After having abstained from the brand for a long time due to my disdain for Founder/former chairman Jimmy John Liautaud, I... decided to give it another shot today, as Liautaud stepped down from major leadership roles in the company following its 2019acquisition. Imagine my surprise to see this table equating open carry to being as deserving of being offered a seat as aSENIOR CITIZEN or PREGNANT PERSON. You would think whoever was in charge of designing the space would have catered it to reflectthe values of the community the store resides in. Bad look for a community as progressive and respectful to their neighbors asFerndale. Obviously JJs can do whatever they want, but when there are plenty of other options for food and subs in the sameplot/just across the street who don?t feel the need to glorify Wild West cosplayers who wave their firearms around in public(see: grocery store, sub shop) to feel some unearned sense of respect, it?s a pretty easy choice. Obviously there are biggerproblems in the world than some dumb text on a table, but money talks, baby. Decent sub, but company still exhibits garbagevalues in 2022 - so I will not be returning. (To boot, I had 2 combos with chips and drinks and was not even offered a bag,barely made it back to the car. Ordering area was chaos, and the app was broken. I order from this location unfortunately at least twice a week and alway missing items yesterday was 2 bags of chips the other... time an entire sandwich the time before that was a Cookie. I understand the short staffing issue but please at least doublecheck an order before it leaves for delivery. Or check items off as they are being bagged. I never call to complain just takethe loss. Maybe I should call to complain but I haven't. All I. All at least out 100 dollars worth of food that I've paid forand have not had delivered. Very weird that Jimmy johns asks u to submit your review on their website as well, expected to havesome one reach out to me regarding the issues at the store never heard a thing from Jimmy johns? So what was the point of themcommenting on my review to also submit the review on their website if they never try and contact you for more details. As amanager of a restaurant myself we take the time to call customers of our establishment to try and listen to their concerns so wecan better ourselves and not make the same mistake twice. Just speaks volumes on the company as a whole. Not looking forcompensation per say no matter how much money I've wasted on this company. The worst? I placed my online order it took 2 hours to deliver. Got the notification my order was out for delivery and it wasn?t... until 55 minutes after the app update that I received my meal. Ferndale is a 2x2 mile and Jimmy John?s is less than .5 milesfrom my house. Unacceptable. Don?t order delivery from them, far from freaky fast. More like slow as snails. **edit** Themanager personally called me and apologized. He delivered my order and notified me he would issue a full refund for my order. Iam moving my review to 2 stars. I ordered the 8inch country club with the bread out I don't know if this is normal or just the location but for a $9 sub it... could have had a little bit more meat for $9. Next time I'll just go to Jersey Mikes where you get a lot more meat for the sameprice you pay at Jimmy John's. Read more
The food is good. The delivery took over an hour and the restaurant is maybe like 10 minutes from my work. They forgot a drink &... they didn?t cut our sandwiches which we put everything on the receipt so It just sucks that there is always something wrong withfood orders now a days.
