Absolutely go here if you are in Basin Harbor or visiting Button Bay State Park. The restaurant is an easy 2 mile bike ride from... the park. Our server was Cathy. She was super friendly and professional. We had the best Korean BBQ ?wings?, which were actuallychicken drumsticks. They were incredible. We also had the maple ribs with wonderful sweet potato tots. I had the ravioli withpolenta filling and roasted corn topping. The polenta was fantastic. I could actually have had the polenta cakes with the cornand sauce and left out the pasta!! Basin Harbor is a destination and the Red Mill is always good Go for the ride and the views. Service was great our server Joe... from Kansas was very friendly, what red blooded Vermonter doesn't like a young man from Kansas to say they liked Basin Harborbetter than the city in Kansas they came from? The food wad good. This summer I am going for the "bowl " salads. We had theshrimp, however the composition of what was underneath could have been done more chef like, instead of just laying there. I've been wanting to visit this place ever since I moved back home almost 8 years ago and let me tell you, I regret not going... SOONER! The Red Mill was simply AMAZING, the food, service an atmosphere was just so lovely! My server, Cathy, was super sweet,patient and helpful. The steak was perfectly cooked and OMG the dirt & worms were incredible, the chocolate mousse wasphenomenal and it was a lovely adult spin on a classic kids dessert. I will definitely be back!!! P.S. Outdoor casual seating dogs allowed on leash!! After that nothing else mattered however add an awesome server and well planned... well executed meals. Hubby had steak with cauliflower and a savory biscuit that was delish and I had a chicken club equallygood. The desserts were all larger than I had room for but our server gave me a small dish of sorbet for a fair price. We werevery pleased would definitely recommend. Read more
Always a fun place to go and eat. Located at Basin Harbor Club but not directly on the lake. Great food, awesome bar and drink... options. Dinner was tasty. Ribs fell off the bone, chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly. The Mill has a great menu. Read more
Poor and slow service considering how few patrons present. Only told some items were not available after we placed order. Served... old coffee, even though fresh coffee was already brewing. Ravioli entree consisted of 2 pieces for $26 price tag. Our party of4's bill was $110 (for 1 appetizer, 3 entrees, 2 deserts and 2 coffees) We detoured $20 miles from our journey to get to the RedMill. No ambience Disappointed customers.9 Read more

The food was fantastic. The wait staff was quite attentive, however understandably more so if you are a guest at the resort... with a large party. The seating area has a LOT of memorabilia of the resort and the area. I loved the old maps of Vermont andthe Revolutionary War historical items. Read more
