What a cute and quaint little restaurant! I would never have thought to stop here had a friend not suggested we try it. Upon... entering Starry Night Café I immediately was enveloped in the restaurant's cozy, warm atmosphere. There are many beautifulimpressionist paintings and exposed wood carvings in the dining space, all of which add to the warmth of the dining area. I waspleasantly surprised by the seasonal dining menu; all of the options were clearly geared towards a "more refined palate" and Iwas unfamiliar with many of the ingredients but was eager to try the food. The cocktail menu was also very inventive and had anappropriate number of choices. I would say if you are someone who enjoys simple comfort food this is not the place for you. Theingredients in the meal were all fresh and flavorful, something I would definitely expect for the high price tag on entrees. Mycompany and I all agreed we would love to return to this location. That being said, I would suggest saving this spot for aspecial occasion if you don't want to make too big of a dent in your budget as the cheapest entree was priced at $30. This is aperfect location to impress a date. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive and deserved a good tip. My only constructivecriticism is I very much wanted a carbohydrate-based item with my dish (I ordered salmon entree which included vidalia onionsand a few mushrooms) and although my protein portion was generous, I was still somewhat hungry at the end of meal and wishing Ihad a starch served with it. All and all I had a very pleasant experience here and I am looking forward to seeing what the staffcome up with for future seasonal menu items. Read more
Best restaurant experience I have ever had all around!! We had a reservation to sit at the bar inside, right when we got there... they asked if we would prefer the patio which was so great because it was a beautiful summer evening. Then the food wasoutrageously delicious! My partner is from Brazil and loved the fact they had Picanha on the menu (a Brazilian cut of meat). Shehad never seen that in the US before. We wanted to do desert but both of us were so full from just the entrees we held off fornext time! Thank you chef Robert and all the staff at Starry Night! We will be back soon! Read more
Starry Night was a wonderful experience with my family. The staff were very kind and the food was delicious. We ate in a very... nice screened-in porch area so we could be outside without worrying about bugs. Every course was spectacular and came out slowlyto allow for lots of conversation and a truly great sit down experience. I will definitely be bringing friends and family herewhen they visit Vermont as this restaurant is a true local gem. Read more

First time eating at Starry night and it exceeded my high expectations. Everything was fantastic, from the cocktails to the... desserts and everything in between. The smoked muscles were a delicious way to start. We ended up ordering 3 of the 4 entreesand ended up sharing/trying all 3 between our group. Between the steak special, swordfish and calamari it is hard to choose afavorite. All 3 had their own unique flavor combinations and were paired perfectly. We ended the night with dessert. The pannacotta was my favorite but the chocolate tart was a close second. We will definitely be back! Read more
Absolutely amazing and exceeded expectations. The new chef is definitely a keeper. Presentation, complimentary sauces, garnish... and tastes were outstanding. We come here every year at least once for our anniversary, because it is a little out of our way.But after tonight's dinner, we might have to come more often! Starry Night Cafe is a perfect restaurant to go to for anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions. It’s... inconspicuous from the outside and spacious, tastefully styled, and charming inside. The menu could have used a poultry andmore local ingredients but the food was fantastic. We had the halibut, salmon, and salad. Halibut was beautifully cooked andpaired well with muscles and hazelnuts. Salad was lightly dressed a chamomile vinaigrette and paired with toasted sunflowerseeds. If you’re visiting Vermont then starry night cafe should be at the top of your list. Read more
