Came into town after traveling 8 to 9 hours from our home in NC. We got there less than 20 minutes before close after being... turned away by another establishment. They sat us anyway and were very kind and professional. The food was very delicious and meand my family were very grateful for their willingness to serve us. Unseasoned vegan tacos ???? but the service and drinks were superb. Fried avocados in the pic...they were amazing and refreshing
The food and atmosphere of Vivir is nothing short of fantastic. I visited here when it first opened and admittedly, I was not... impressed. The food was bland and the diversity in flavor was lacking. I decided to give it another try and let me tell you itwas a totally different experience! I probably come here a few times per month now to enjoy the delicious tacos! The price tagmay be a little high but is soon forgotten when your palate is attacked by the fresh cuisine that Vivir has to offer. I wasable to speak with restaurant staff and I found out that they recently hired a new chef who completely revamped the menu. I gotthe opportunity to speak with him several times and he and his staff know their stuff. The chef carefully sources and handselects the freshest ingredients he can find and even processes much of the meat and fish himself! You will also want to trysome of the house made hot sauces that include some of the most decadent and popping flavors. He is very involved and takespride in his dishes. Had high hopes for this establishment from out of town and seen they had a decent 4.5 rating so thought we would give it a try... placed a reservation for Friday evening didn't realize there was no where to park besides a few spaces here and there. So we hadto park in the parking garage and pay for that. The server that we had did not know drink selection had to go ask about it service was dreadfully slow!! prices are outrageously overpriced for what you get I mean charging for salsa ???? but I get itit's more of a fusion gourmet type of Mexican restaurant the six small tacos rice and salsa one pop we have was over 50 dollarshighly disappointed for what we got for the money the carne asada steak tacos we're lacking seasoning and flavor the pork onesthat I got was much better had more of a flavor profile tasted delicious the tomatillo salsa was damn good fresh but was alittle bit spicy for me and the regular salsa was flavorful fresh definitely love the blue masa that they use for corn chips andtortillas also the rice that we received and paid extra for honestly tasted like frozen meal Mexican entree rice not a verypleasant taste in my opinion! overall highly disappointed and would not go back. Absolutely wonderf9ul dining experience. Every single time. The food is colorful, fresh and above all tastes fantastic. The... building and atmosphere is fun and vibrant. The staff is always excellent. Oh and the drinks! Premium flavor and sosmooth. You seriously can't go wrong with any choice! Last night we enjoyed taco Tuesday with a $20 margaritas pitcher, 3 tacoseach, queso fundido and guacamole. Our daughter had the largest most flavorful quesadilla we've ever seen and cilantro limerice! The salsa was fresh and the creme the perfect cool. My favorite taco would have to be "The Chorizo One" tied with "The AlPastor One" but seriously ALL of them are flavorful and fresh! If you get a chance to visit Vivir Modern Mexican you will wantto go again and again and again! It's definitely became one of our very favorite restaurants in Northwest Ohio! Read more
Atmosphere, service, and margs are top notch! Have stopped in here a few times and seem to always getting the fried avocado... which is spectacular! Most recently ordered the bowl and that was delicious! Have had mixed experiences with the tacos, butlikely due to my picky tastes and not on the restaurant. Read more
