This is an order first and then sit restaurant. The staff was very friendly. I got the she-crab soup which was finished with... cinnamon and although it sounds weird, it was so incredibly delicious. I had a burger which was great and the asparagus wasfresh and fantastic. My husband had the pulled pork and it was not what he expected since it had no bbq sauce and it was on apita. Stopped on a Thursday evening for dinner, their setup is different, but makes sense for the current state of staffing issues,... you order as you enter, pay, and food is brought to your seat. The tacos each had 3 large shrimps on them and the fish frydinner was exceptionally well seasoned. The French fry slices were different but delicious. Would highly recommend. Read more

My husband and I are from out of town. Several locals had recommended Skaliwags, and now we understand why. Wow! The service was... top notch. Chef Chris and his family have created some ridiculously good plates. We had the grilled romaine salad to start,which was huge and bursting with flavor. Then the Jesus burger and bbq burger - we both said they were the best burgers we?veever had. Fries were even cut uniquely and stood out! Lunch dine-in, we had a very nice experience. I was originally going to give 4 stars mainly on price but I am pushing to 5... stars for the following reasons. The food was exceptional. Quality ingredients, obviously fresh. Great fish, great bread onsandwiches. The chef brings a nice balance of seasoning with acidity to balance out richness in the food. Very attentivestaff. I did enjoy sustainable materials. More outdoor seating would be nice. Open roof earlier? Although cost was on thehigher end, I would go back. It costs more to get quality and I think customers need to remind themselves of that. This placewas definitely quality. Read more
