This is easily one of the best restaurants in the Indianapolis area. The atmosphere is great and almost every option on the... menu is top notch. The steak and seafood items on the main dinner menu are amazing, but the appetizers and sides are the realstars. You can easily combine apps, sides, and drinks to have an amazing time. The shrimp cocktail is a must, as it is thesame as St. Elmo's downtown Indy. I also highly recommend the Ahi Tuna Steak, maple glazed carrots, and bourbon butter cake. Nothing beats 1933. ???? Pretty nice spot. Fairly busy trendy spot. Food is as expected being part of the Huse group (St. Elmo’s/Harry and Izzy’s).... There is a pretty decent selection of bourbon. Good atmosphere but the music and the room were pretty loud. So not really aquiet conversation type place. Read more

The only reason I’m not giving it Five stars is because the place was very crowded with customers and probably a 100 employees... running around. Not a peaceful environment. The good, Food will melt in your mouth as expected for a high price, my wife and Iwere celebrating our anniversary and they even left a card signed by all employees, that’s a nice touch. Read more

This review is well overdue! My husband and I found this restaurant on a whim while in town celebrating our wedding anniversary... last November. We went the day before our anniversary and enjoyed the food, drinks and service so much we came back the nextnight to celebrate. It's been a long time since I've eaten such well prepared food!! The drinks were superb, we downed severalold fashions. Our server David was awesome! He was so awesome and thoughtful I cant say enough good things about him; he had acard sighed by everyone on our decorated table the night of our anniversary. We tell all our friends about this restaurant andwe can't wait to go back ourselves!! Read more

This place has impeccable service. Food was incredible n the drinks will have you laughing at the check. The server saved... service for one in my party but she was pleased when all was said n done. We sat n chatted for a bit n they did not hassle us oranything great time. Now for my minority patrons they were black ppl friendly! Read more

The food was superb and so was the service. Nice/Intimate atmosphere. What wasn’t right was corrected. The only gripe, one of... the hostess was trying to cram a lot of customers in one area. ???????? Move around and space us out, in this pandemic. My girlsand I enjoyed ourselves, overall. ???? Based on both location and as a long-time lover of St. Elmo, we thought we'd give 1933 a try. Open two years, it's a brand... extension for the Huse dining group- but, if you really want St. Elmo, get a reservation and drive downtown for the iconicexperience because this isn't St. Elmo. You can't do 3.5 stars, which is what our rating would be if we could, 3 stars for thefood and a terrible table location, pulled back up to 4 by excellent service from our server Matthew on this visit. Thingsstarted out very smoothly, we arrived early and were escorted to two wonderful high back leather chairs adjacent to the bar, with the hostess noting our location so that they could find us easily when our table was ready. Unfortunately, we then had togo on a search ourselves for a server to get drinks while we waited. When we were shown to our table it was immediately adjacentto the kitchen entrance- avoid this unless you enjoy a great view of the kitchen area punctuated by the heavy sliding of themetal door as the staff flows in and out. We started with the often-mentioned and must-try shrimp cocktail (signature hot andspicy cocktail sauce, 4 large shrimp, $16.95) and the Navy Bean Soup. Since soup or tomato juice is included with an entree,Matthew made the adjustment promptly to our tab. We ordered the 45 day dry-aged Ribeye ($60, $5 upcharge from the regularRibeye) which was done to medium as ordered, and as you would expect from any premium steakhouse. We also had the Grilled Salmon(described as sourced from the Bay of Fundy between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, $32) which is served with house-maderemoulade and we substituted a baked potato (with everything is a $4 upcharge) for the mashed potatoes. The salmon was fine, buta dill sauce might have been a better accompaniment as we avoided the remoulade. Perhaps the most interesting taste of the nightwas the Creamed Corn Brulee, caramelized sugar on top with jalapeño bits in the creamed corn- very good sweet and savo Read more
