Very cool vibe - the underground tunnel is pretty cool! The dining atmosphere is homey and rustic - the staff are all wonderful!
Stopped by as tourists - it was so cool to check out the original wood, stable tunnel, and thick walls. Inside the stable is... cozy and warm - the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Read more
Have been here multiple times (6 times) so far and wow! The food is amazing, and I am not just saying that. Seriously, it is... phenomenal. The Thursday pork sampler special is by far the best thing I've had in a restaurant in Madison in years! The qualityof food is just a cut anove every other place in this area. Friendly, fast service. Outstanding venue with that midwest charm.Three places to eat! The Barn, the Stone House, or outside! I love that they have an option on where you can be seated. I wouldreccomend you try the schnitzel and the Thursday special. I am not a fish eater but my husband says the Friday fish fry isamazing too. Definitely give this place a try! Read more
