Very cool vibe - the underground tunnel is pretty cool! The dining atmosphere is homey and rustic - the staff are all wonderful!

Have been here multiple times (6 times) so far and wow! The food is amazing, and I am not just saying that. Seriously, it is... phenomenal. The Thursday pork sampler special is by far the best thing I've had in a restaurant in Madison in years! The qualityof food is just a cut anove every other place in this area. Friendly, fast service. Outstanding venue with that midwest charm.Three places to eat! The Barn, the Stone House, or outside! I love that they have an option on where you can be seated. I wouldreccomend you try the schnitzel and the Thursday special. I am not a fish eater but my husband says the Friday fish fry isamazing too. Definitely give this place a try! Read more

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere. Beautiful post and beam construction throughout. We were tempted by everything on the... menu, and the meatloaf was excellent. We walked in by chance but it was a happy accident. We would especially like to thankKathy Lewis for her glowing recommendation of an establishment that takes vaccination seriously.
