I was looking up a restaurant for lunch with my coworkers and found this gem. A small restaurant with about 7-8 seating tables... but what a beautiful restaurant it is!!! The servers were really nice with explaining the menu and the house drinks they makefresh everyday. We skipped the appetizer since the meal portions looked fairly big and glad we did. I ordered the 'VeggieEnchiladas' in their homemade verde (green) sauce. The order came with four enchiladas and a side of rice. I devoured it all???? My coworkers ordered 'Pechuga Asada' and 'Pechuga Ranchera' and they were happy with their meals too. The rice was fresh, fluffy and had the right amount of spice. We also ordered their house drink in mango flavor and a Jarritos. Oh, and the spicysalsa was bomb. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture before we cleaned up the entire bowl. Definitely visiting again and100% recommend this restaurant for some authentic Mexican food. Tip: They do sell some Mexican goodies. I got the hot Mexicanpeanuts to munch with some cold beer ???? While the ambiance and menu of “Family Mexican Grill” is more authentic now than under its previous ownership, one must be... very specific with menu requests and make sure you check your order before leaving if it’s for take-out. I am deathlyallergic to raw onions and I very seriously said do “NOT” put any raw onions in my tacos. Well, upon getting home toprepare to eat my lunch. I shockingly discovered that my tacos were filled to the rim with raw onions!!! Upon calling “FamilyMexican Grill” to politely complain and express my extreme disappointment, I was even more unhappy that their cashier, Brenda(who was very kind with an upbeat personality) kept on apologizing to me for their grave mistake and only said she’d informher manager of the problem; which easily could have killed me, did “NOT” even extend the basic professional courtesy of areplacement order or a full refund. Anyway, I am still hungry now because my lunch was inedible and I am also out my $$$too???? I have no idea how the food is no matter what positive reviews may be online but if you are very specific about how yourfood is prepared when dining-out or taking-out; most especially if your health might be at risk, I strongly recommend that youdo not dine “blindly” or naive at “Family Mexican Grill” because it is a matter of one’s health and safety and theywill “NOT” even offer the professional courtesy of a new “correct”order of food or a full refund. Simply put, walksoftly and carry a big stick if you patronize “Family Mexican Grill” in Hillsborough, NJ. Read more

As name suggests it restaurant for family. Interior decor bring the feeling of your seating outdoor. There food is delicious. I... tried there TACO FAJITA and it was excellent ( note: this item is not on there DoorDash menu) . There CHURROS are must try. Iwish they severed some nice margaritas, that would have made my evening perfect. They have flags of different county on thewall, that keeps kids engaged. Read more

Picked this place for its proximity to Duke farms on our GPS route. It’s in a shopping center so first off is easy... parking. Door sign said mask required but our host and server and the cook who popped out of the kitchen were not wearing oneand we were told ours were not necessary. No one else was eating inside so we stayed and did so. Lots of folks popped in fortake out. I noticed a couple of picnic tables at the end of the shops. We started off with yummy fresh guacamole and chips. Ihad shrimp quesadillas and my hub had chimichanga. Mine was hard not to finish, it was so good. Served with a pile ofguacamole, sour cream and fresh chopped tomato salsa. Hub managed to gobble his up as big as it was. Service was good. Pricewas reasonable. Wish this place was closer to home.
