I wish I could write two reviews: one for the food and one for my experience with the staff. I had a catering order of a... sandwich platter, hot dish, and some salads. The food was very good. Dealing with the staff was not so great. It seemed likenobody knew what they were doing: from the man who told me that they only had a couple of salads available on weekends (eventhough it was a catering order, and when I picked it up on a Sunday there were a LOT of salads to choose from), to the woman whomumbled sarcastically "thanks for all of that information" under her breath on the phone, rather than simply asking me to spellmy name, to the people who worked behind the counter and did not know what vegan meant and could only guess if salads werevegan. I hope they are able to better train staff or hire staff that is a bit more professional, because I really liked thefood. Read more
This Market Place can be the BEST. Stopped by today to pick up the Balsamic Rosemary Chicken and Beef Stroganoff ... protein... part of the diet ! SO, SO delicious !!! Ordered large selection of wraps for a party. Total was close to $175.00 The roast beef was so overcook you couldn?t chew it. I... called after party to voice my dismay. Explaining we took the rest of the roast beef sandwiches off the platter, No call backthat was promised, no apology. I have told the 40 guests at the party the result of my phone call. Was here in 1999 when The Market Place debuted in Mount Olive Flanders . Wowed you've come a long way. A boutique market that... offers unique gift shopping. Wine selection is top notch ! I took course from an expert in Fla. So suffice to say Market carriesmedium price to top shelf wine. Meats are a cut above your average super market . Chocolate candies cake pops ! Recently had a get together catered by the Market Place. Ordered a variety of food (mostly hot entrees)and it was... delicious! Everyone complimented the food. The chicken franchaise , Italian meatballs, Swedish meatballs , chicken fingers &Mac & cheese were terrific! The prices were reasonable and I definitely would recommend it. Read more
Normally I love this place. The food is great and I like the service. That being said, I was there this weekend at one employee... (male) wasn't wearing a mask. When confronted by another client, the worker said it had broke and blew him off. That client leftsaying he would never come back. I was getting a sandwich at the time. The employee then came over and got a mask from the womenbehind the deli counter. He proceeded to wear it over his chin. Not sure I will go back! Too bad. Great service Read more
