Great food and service. I had the Drunken Noodles with chicken- and they were yummy! I ordered the "Hungry" portion instead of... the "Really Hungry" portion, and it was plenty of food. I got there for lunch during a small rush, and there was a short waitfor my food. But the wait was really reasonable. All the staff was really friendly and responsive. Loved the pineapple fried rice. It was just the right amount of spicy, and they let you take off any toppings that you might not... want. The wait also didn't take very long either. Read more
Called ?authentic?, but far from it. The WORST Thai I?ve ever eaten, hands down. The drunken noodles had very little... vegetables, and was so salty I could barely eat it. It was made with lo mein noodles, which is inauthentic and unheard of, andmakes the dish taste way off. My wife had the thai fried rice, it was truly flavorless and had almost no vegetables. (See picand notice the red pepper flakes simply dumped on one spot). I called them, and politely spoke to them about by sub-parexperience. I told them I didn?t expect Chinese lo mein noodles for drunken noodles (this is not how it?s made, ever). He said?that?s how we so it, sorry?. I then said how I didn?t expect crushed red flakes to be dumped on it, but was expecting authenticThai chilis. He said that?s how it works for anything below ?3? spice level. I said that I did get a 3 spice level, to which hereplied ?well, sorry?. He was very irritated that I called to calmly and politely explain, but was snappy and rude. He offeredno recompense for messing up the order either. We ate a small portion and threw the rest in the trash, which is where this foodbelongs. Boon Choo Thai Express has great service and phenomenal food. The food is cooked to order but it truly is worth the wait. Ok, I... gotta say that it is a small restaurant and when it's busy, you may have an extended wait. However, the food is delicious andnot like your run of the mill Asian food. I promise that you will love it. The portion size is large. The average cost is lessthan $12/ entree. Read more
This was our second time at Boon Choo. The first time the food was amazing and we couldn't wait to come back... but tonight we... did not have a great experience. My husband's order was supposed to have no mushrooms, yet it had mushrooms. No biggie - hepicked them out. My meal was supposed to be the lowest spice level (mild as possible) but it was much spicier than last time. Ijust couldn't enjoy it that spicy, so we took it up and told them the issue. Instead of remaking a fresh dish, they addedcoconut milk and then brought my same bowl out several minutes later. It was lukewarm at best and no less spicy. We spent $20each and left a good tip when ordering but they couldn't be bothered to remake a meal for us. Really disappointing. Havingworked in restaurants most of my life, I know you can do better. I would've been so happy & totally content if my meal was justremade fresh like I asked. The food is good but the service really needs some work. Read more
