Brisket tasted and looked liked it came from the skin of a rhino. Some of the worst/dry tasting brisket I?ve ever had. Only... reason I gave 2 stars because the seating and sweet tea were fine. Hopefully I?ll never have to put my tastebuds through thatagain. Read more

We waited in line an hour before ordering BUT it was some of the best barbeque and collards I've ever had. I had the ribs, baked... beans and succotash. My mom had the pulled pork sandwich and side salad, my husband had the pulled pork, pimento and cheesegrits and collards. My only critique is the sides - baked beans were mediocre (heavy on the kidney beans) and succotash wasoverpowered by pimentos and there's no mac and cheese option on the menu but I could eat the ribs and collards every time and behappy anyways! We will return. Read more

Fun day out from Greenville. Yummy barbecue, fresh salads and pretty setting.

We stopped here for lunch after Apple picking today and had a great experience! The food was amazing, especially the salted... caramel banana pudding. The outside seating area is picturesque and the delicious smells are almost as good as the food!Definitely worth the trip! Read more

The good: Great atmosphere, I loved the roaming chickens, the patio and the plants. Great sides selections. The not so... good: The cornbread had a good taste but poor consistency. The brisket and grits were honestly a little under seasoned. Giving3 ?? because: -food is quite expensive (about $20 a person) for the portion sizes -you have to bus/ wait yourself, again for theprice I?d hope that was included -Did not offer hot sauce -Not sustainable, because of the self bussing all of the utensils/napkins/ cups are all single use plastics -While bussing both trash cans were full and covered in flies so I went to wash myhands and they were out of paper towels. -A rib bone was laying on the patio floor For the uncleanliness I saw, they weren?toverly busy to make sense of it. Overall, if I was in the area again I?d probably find another place to try but I enjoyed mymeal. Read more

My husband and I stopped here after mountain biking at DuPont because of the good reviews. They only serve one person at a time... so we waited in line literally a hour. It is Labor Day weekend and since we were hungry decided to stick with it. The food wastasty but expensive. I had the Flat Rock Cheesesteak and my husband had the Brisket sandwich. The pimento cheese grits are goodand potato salad better than most other restaurants. After 2 drinks and desert each it cost $60. Since I cleaned up after myselfI chose not to tip. The staff was very nice. Read more

Beautiful outside dining on their patio! Limited hours, so check before you go. Limited menu - we tried the brisket and... chicken. Unfortunately both were extremely dry even when dousing with sauce. Sides are ok - nothing exceptional. Meats arevery peppery - we had to cut off the rubs before eating. Bonus is going to the Flat Rock Bakery for dessert after you eat. Ample parking lot in the rear. It was my first time here and the food was delicious! It was recommended by another diner I met at a different restaurant. She... couldn't stop talking about the atmosphere and food and she was right! I ordered the brisket plate with baked beans and collardgreens. It was all really tasty. The brisket was cooked to perfection. They have sauce options to choose after you order. It isall outdoor seating, so I recommend sunshine or overcast days to visit. The atmosphere is lively and friendly. I talked to afew other diners some were also first timers and others who were regulars. The roaming live chickens are interesting to watch, they don't bother you, so no need to be afraid. People bring their dogs, so just be aware of that, there was almost a dogfightwhile I was there.
