Went on a very busy Sunday Night, snagged some bar seats, and put in an order. Got the food so fast it seemed impossible. The... Flemington Fog IPA was fantastic. Passed it by many times but since I’m not a big red meat eater I never tried it till the other day . I had a real urge for a... charcoal grilled burger! So I knew just where to go! I was waited on quickly they seemed to have their wait staff well trained.The service was quick n friendly. The burger flavorful and cooked as I asked . The sweet potato wedges were plentiful and tookhalf them home.. they seemed uniquely prepared and I’m told a fav there. I’ve also heard the pizza is well liked, and I willtry it soon. The restaurant filled up quickly but I chose to seat outside since it was such a nice day.. If you’re lookingfor a hearty meal I’d say go try it. The varied menu will have something for everyone! We were headed to a fair about 45 minutes from where we live and decided to have dinner around that location. My wife found this... spot and it was alot of fun, plenty of space inside but we chose to sit outside on such a beautiful day. They had good drinksand the food was delicious. My wife and I shared some fried pickles with a spicy dipping sauce and then shared a BBQ platterwith brisket and pulled pork and ribs and garlic sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Everything was so good. My son got a cowboyburger and it was perfect! (I love cowboy burgers) with the crispy onions and bacon and cheddar cheese. So good. We also startedwith mozzarella sticks which are handmade. So crunchy and cheesy. We really enjoyed our dinner there at the Chimney Rock Inn. Modifying my review. Comments about food and service still the same. Not happy that they are charging a new FEE on the... bill. Inflation is hitting us all. I think the service charge is BS. Not going back until they stop charging it. Always a goodstable meal at OK prices. Good service. Good menu choices. Read more
It’s been awhile since I visited this Flemington location of Chimney Rock because the service took so long at previous visits.... On my recent visit the seating time was fast and the service was much better. However, the pizza did not taste as good as Iremember it to be. The cheese did not taste the same and I had to add salt to give it flavor. The plus is that the pizza isstill crispy and thin with a perfect crust. The nachos are very good, so good that we ate them before I could take a pic forthis review. I’ve been visiting Chimney Rock in Bridgewater for over 25 years and I was happy when this location was added toFlemington. Glad to see the service and seating time has improved. I just wish the pizza tasted as good as I remember it. Read more
Our waitress was so great! We ordered Quesadilla, tasted like a margarita pizza. Didn't care for it. Mac and cheese sandwich... was so good but there was looked like pieces of fuzz on the toast. Super friendly bartenders who were definitely on top of it! They kept our drinks full without us even having to ask. We ordered... the vegan chili pizza because I’ve never had chili on my pizza before. It was good, but I wasn’t a fan of the crust. I thinkit was whole wheat or gluten free or something like that… either way, I loved all the vegan options available. Read more
Stopped in today for some food. Got the queso tots. They came out immediately, but we’re not hot at all. We ordered three... pizzas. The artisan, Buffalo chicken and Mac and cheese. The artisan as really average. The Buffalo chicken was strange hadtomato sauce with a hint of a Buffalo kick, but no Buffalo taste. The mac and cheese pretzel crust lacked any flavor atall. Service was poor. No refills on drinks and we waited too long to receive the bill. Read more
