I do not usually leave reviews but the service was so terrible. I drove 45 minutes out to try this place because of the reviews.... We waited 30 minutes for appetizers. There were only four tables in the restaurant. There were three men next to us chainsmoking cigars outside. I have served for many years, smoking at a table two feet from another is usually not allowed. The pizzawas not cooked, the dough was shiny and dense. The server did not check on us but once. She did not give us lemon with thecalamari or iced tea. She did not put a piece of paper in the pizza box so the grease leaked all over my car. Very disappointedand will not return. Vito and his staff went above and beyond to make my wedding vow renewal party so intimate and unforgettable. They set up their... indoor/outdoor tent to accommodate my party of 20, stayed open late to ensure that my guests and I were satisfied. The food camequickly, hot and delicious. We recently visited Marinelli?s for a pasta dinner and were not disappointed. This location is a BYOB and has plenty of seating... to enjoy a relaxing casual dinner. The staff is friendly and we had very good service. We ordered the cheese raviolis andpenne vodka. The raviolis tasted fresh with a good sauce. The penne was good too. I also ordered a cappuccino, that was reallygood, and a cannoli which was good. Overall a great place to have a casual dinner with very friendly service. We willdefinitely be back. Read more
This was my first visit to Marinelli?s Pizza. No, there?s no relation, we went because they have ?my name.? I made sure to take... pictures of their sandwiches as they are as photogenic as they are delicious! We had the Italian hot dog and a chicken sandwichwith mozzarella, etc. As an appetizer we ordered eggplant fries, they were so good. We treated ourselves to zeppoles for dessertand what a treat they were! The waitress, Whitney, was friendly and efficient. The manager, Karl, greeted us and made sureeverything was to our satisfaction. It truly is a great Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant and I highly recommend stopping in for ahearty sandwich! Boy does this place get busy. But I promise you, it is definitely worth the wait. The calamari was crisp and tasty. I told... myself, ?I?ll just have a few.? But ended up eating a majority of the plate. The meatballs were amazing. The pizza was alsogreat. The owner has a great personality and makes it a priority to remember his loyal or repeat customers. I need a sixth star for the rating. We just came to the area a few months ago and have dined at a about a dozen places so far... and this is by far our favorite restaurant. The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, and the food is just plaindelicious. An added bonus is that the staff are attentive, courteous & efficient. The owners (Vito & Kristine) came by our tableand, in addition to being passionate about their work, may be two of the nicest people we've met yet. For appetizers (which wehighly recommend) we had the Portabello Mushroom Flatbread & the Mussels in Spicy Marinara (apologies for the picture below -didn't think to take it before my father vigorously dug in). After that four of us split the Chicken Kristine, Caitlin andGiovanni entrees and long story short all three were delicious - and again portions so generous that we took some of eachhome.
