We used to LOVE this place. We moved away and made the trip tonight and sadly probably won?t be returning. The staff was... horrible and so rude. We sat at our table for 20 minutes after eating waiting for our server. Ended up having to go up to thecounter for boxes and a bill. The lady we asked was annoyed by it and then walked away like she was getting it for us and nevercame back. Then the server finally brought our stuff and didn?t say 2 words to us. No apologies no thank you for coming no havea great night nothing. I?m sure they stereotyped and didn?t think we were worth it but we ALWAYS tip above average. Even thoughshe didn?t deserve a dollar she still got a tip. Sad to see places go down hill. Food was decent. Not what we remembered. Read more
This is my favorite restaurant in the Flint area. Have been eating Ruggero?s pizza for many years. It is my favorite deep dish... pizza I have ever had. The rest of the food is Great as well. The home made Italian dressing is Amazing. Read more
We had a 4 person birthday dinner. Salads & appetizers were slow to come out. And the appetizers were small; the "stuffed... portobello mushrooms" were sliced, not stuffed. Meals: salmon was well done after we asked it to be medium rare and the potatocame after the meal was finished ...the potato was carried home for the next day and it was still not cooked. Lobster ravioliwas not flavored with lobster...not sure what it was. Veal Parmigiano was just ok, did not have any of the spaghetti that cameout after the meal. The garlic toast also came out after our meal was done. The dinner pizza, with a salad. was the best meal ofthe night. No one asked about a birthday dessert. Is there new management? Ruggero?s is one of my very favorite restaurants in Flint Twp./Genesee County. They offer American and Italian cuisine. Not only... is the food delicious but the staff are friendly and you?re greeted with a smile. Stop in to see Elaine, Kim, Diane or one ofthe other friendly waitstaff for a quick bite, lunch or dinner. For special occasions or meetings, you can reserve their privateroom. After two years of the pandemic we returned today for a meal. Server was great. The food was slow to come out but very good.... Genuine question about the bill was handled inappropriately by a condescending manager. Probably won?t be back. Read more
I've never had a bad meal here. The food is impeccable. The service is good, and more importantly, consistent. Similar pricing... to the OG chain competition, but everything is better. The only single complaint.. the lady fingers in the tiramisu were a bitsoggy. Still the taste was perfect. If I could give this place a 6th star, I would. Read more
Stopped in for an early dinner this afternoon. Decided on the Pizza Dinner Special. 2 item personal pizza with a garden salad &... beverage. Salad was good with a caesar dressing, and the pizza came out hot and crispy with lots of melt cheese. The only minorcomplaint was the bread was a little tough and dry, but not a deal breaker. Super cute place, our server was incredible! Food was good, and prices reasonable for what you get, we definitely took our... leftovers home. The personal sized pizza was enough to share, as we also ordered the lasagna and a salad to split. Read more
