This was my first visit to Crabtree's, and I was incredibly impressed. The decor was lovely with the holiday spirit. The staff... was charming and attentive. The food was "out of this world." I ordered medalians of lamb that were grilled: 3 slices marinatedin olive oil and spices that melted in my mouth. It came with smooth, delicious mashed potatoes and a variety of freshvegetables. I requested green mint jelly, and then it was perfect. Crabtree's is a restaurant you absolutely must try, and youwill return many times with family and friends. I'm planning to do just that! The entire dining experience was subpar. The food arrived late, and the bar noise was obnoxiously loud. My husband, and I, ... continually voiced our concerns, snd then, when not answered, our complaints. The area in which we were seated was very warm. Weasked that the door be opened. The eventual response was that the frequent customers did not want the cooler air, and thosecustomers mattered. This was our first time here, and we had traveled a distance to sample the food. The food was mediocre. Wehad the salmon, and the Turkey entrees, respectively. The mushroom soup appetizer was okay, as was the Caesar salad. The food is always fresh and delicious. Probably one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Service is just outstanding.... Everyone is super attentive. I've been here probably about 9 times and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal, not once.The owner and son are very personable as well. My wife and I have been dining at Crabtree's for about 20 years and it's one of the best restaurants in NY. The environment is... very cozy and there staff over the years have been very pleasant and attentive. We have gotten used to there menu which hasremained consistent with very little variation but with that has come perfection. There speciality is definitely fish which theydo exceptionally well. Like most people we like to vary our dining experiences but so very often when we are pondering on whereto go ,we fall back on our old faithful. Read more

When you come to this family owned restaurant, you're not just coming for a meal. It's an experience from the warm greeting to... the end with a friendly farewell. Very hospitable environment. Dimitri is the owner and he takes customer satisfaction to thehighest level. There menu has an option for everyone. Their offerings consist of fresh pastas, land, and sea choices. Be sureto hear about the daily specials as everyday is different. Each table gets a complimentary basket of warm assorted rolls andbutter. Food is made with the freshest ingredients and highest standard. You can really tell that the chef puts individualattention in preparing each dish to perfection. The waiter for my party was Luis. Luis is very attentive and repeats what weorder to ensure its accuracy. He also constantly checks in with us to ensure we are fully taken care of from start tofinish. However, when you dine here you will be helped by many staffs as they all help each other. Staffs constantly walkaround refilling your water glass without being asked. Utensils are replaced, dishes are removed, and table cleaned before eachcourse is served. They try very hard to make it a memorable moment. This place is small and very busy so reservation is highlyrecommended. Reservation can be made online or by phone. They offer indoor dining and outdoor dining in the back of therestaurant. We celebrated our anniversary dinner. This is our second visit here. The first time was precovid. We dined outdoors and... thankfully it was nice and cool. Appetizers are escargot and the grilled octopus. Both are delicate, tender and delicious. Entrees were the specials, blackened swordfish and the NY strip steak with onions and mushrooms. Dessert: Chocolate moussecake. We cleared our plates and enjoyed a lovely red blend wine. Our guy is Melvin, professional, attentive and did not rush aswith the rest of the staff. The food here was excellent!!. The waitress very friendly, and portions give good. The only issue we had was there was a large... fly buzzing around us the entire time we were there, and the restaurant was alittle noisy! Would definitely go back though, totry other dishes. Read more
