I usually go to Pollo Tropical when I don't want to go to a sit down restaurant in Homestead. I typically order the 1/2 chicken... with rice and beans. I also like the fried yucca. The drive-thru line is usually jam-packed, so it can be a while. The last timeI went, I ordered inside and was pleased with how quickly the order was prepared. I ordered a Tropichop Bowl with grilledchicken, yellow rice, and vegetables which was great. The Mango TropiChiller was pretty good. It could've been a bit cheaper butI enjoyed it. This Pollo Tropical location on 1st Avenue in Florida City is a great place to stop for chicken and sides that are delicious and... flavorful. They are worth the wait to get the food and sauces. This place always has an issue. Whoever is running it needs to retrain their whole staff and order enough food for the weekend.... They are always out of something. They don?t even acknowledge you, if you walk in and try to order. It?s honestly sad, becausethis placed is still fairly new. Just go to the Homestead location. We stopped to grab a bite to eat on our way back from the Keys. This place deserves a negative rating. Most of their menu items... were conveniently unavailable. The staff was completely unprofessional and just rude. The kitchen area was filthy and litteredwith fallen food. I was waiting for someone to just call the 5 second rule and serve us from the floor!!!! Service was slow asmolasses, too. They weren't understaffed, either. Just a complete disaster! They always make you wait at the order window for so long when there is no one at the pickup window! I give up on trying to go... to different ones they are all the same here in Homestead!
