I usually go to Pollo Tropical when I don't want to go to a sit down restaurant in Homestead. I typically order the 1/2 chicken... with rice and beans. I also like the fried yucca. The drive-thru line is usually jam-packed, so it can be a while. The last timeI went, I ordered inside and was pleased with how quickly the order was prepared. I ordered a Tropichop Bowl with grilledchicken, yellow rice, and vegetables which was great. The Mango TropiChiller was pretty good. It could've been a bit cheaper butI enjoyed it. The employee who took my order was very friendly and I noticed that he was also patient with the group of peoplebefore I went. Read more
This Pollo Tropical location on 1st Avenue in Florida City is a great place to stop for chicken and sides that are delicious and... flavorful. They are worth the wait to get the food and sauces. I have had a really good experience coming here and the staffhere works hard to get everything to you. Read more
This place always has an issue. Whoever is running it needs to retrain their whole staff and order enough food for the weekend.... They are always out of something. They don?t even acknowledge you, if you walk in and try to order. It?s honestly sad, becausethis placed is still fairly new. Just go to the Homestead location. We stopped to grab a bite to eat on our way back from the Keys. This place deserves a negative rating. Most of their menu items... were conveniently unavailable. The staff was completely unprofessional and just rude. The kitchen area was filthy and litteredwith fallen food. I was waiting for someone to just call the 5 second rule and serve us from the floor!!!! Service was slow asmolasses, too. They weren't understaffed, either. Just a complete disaster! 12$ for a tropichop that doesn't even have salt with 4 tiny miserable pieces of "churrasco" without chimichurri and it clearly... sais it comes with it but I have never seen it and i ask for it every day also I hate getting foods i didn't order mixed into myorder like corn and tomatoes this time is just disgusting very unpleasant super inconsistent too Read more
This place is a joke right? Just absorbing business from tired families staying at the hotels surrounding it? First, there are a... lot of good things listed on the menu and on the signs stuck in the ground all through the drive thru. However none of them areavailable as they don't sell them anymore, apparently. Literally everything I asked for "we do not sell that anymore." Bro whatdo you sell? There's signs literally stuck in the ground like they are current. Then the food I got? The sweet plantains, reallygood honestly. Hot and fresh too. But what the what is with the quesadilla wrap? A full cup of cheddar cheese and not meltedeven remotely (the whole wrap was ice cold). If you're staying in the hotels, don't go here. Go to the convenience store and getsome snacks to hold you. I used the online ordering "to avoid waiting in line", what a big mistake! The staff seemed overwhelmed when our group of 16... came in. When I finally got my food after 40 minutes and several inquiries, they told me they did not have Key Lime Pie, and nosauces. I ordered the Grill Master platter and received only 3 small pieces of beef. They forgot to give me the ordered max&cheese. The rice and beans were bland. They always make you wait at the order window for so long when there is no one at the pickup window! I give up on trying to go... to different ones they are all the same here in Homestead! Even when you order on the app. Not worth a 10-15 minute wait! Justlooked at my sons order. It was wrong as usual again! It?s a school night and I can?t do anything about it now!
