Amazing service! So friendly and the sushi is really good too.

I’m giving it 4 stars. The hostesses and staff were very nice. We booked a hibachi table for 2 on Open Table (the link was... right in Hanya’s Google listing). Our 7:30pm reservation got us sat at 8pm, our hibachi chef started at 8:30 (Saturdaynight). They were very busy. This is in an afluent area with several nice restaurants nearby, within walking distance. The foodwas good, great portions, typical hibachi. decent/average hibachi price )average $30 a plate w salad and soup, veggies, steamedrice- fried is $2.50 extra like every other hibachi I’ve been to.) this meal is a treat/splurge for my date and me. $100 for 2for the filet w seafood. The atmosphere is lacking. There are lots of children or at least this night! They lack storage space;there are boxes of to go containers and stuff everywhere. Dish stations out in the open. I’m not usually annoyed by this butit bothered me for our date night and a $100 meal. Hanaya can’t help all the kids, it being loud, them being busy… so I’mgiving them 4 stars overall. This is my new favorite sushi joint! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The way the... sushi bar seating is configured allows for more people to sit at the bar and watch the chefs work their magic! The food waspositively outstanding! The presentation was magnificent and the flavors were incredible! The flavors were different than whatI usually expect at a Japanese restaurant, they were bold, crisp, complex, and sooo fresh! I had the Thunder Roll and shrimptempura roll and they were probably the BEST dishes I have ever had the privilege of enjoying at a Japanese sushi/hibachirestaurant (and they paired well with a Sapporo draft beer, served in a ice cold mug!). I will definitely be back to Hanayavery soon! If you are in the mood for exceptional japanese food at a reasonable price point I very strongly recommend checkingthis place out! Great experience every time. Our family of four enjoyed sushi - freshly prepared California roll and Dynamite roll, then still... had space for Hibachi. The chef was sweet and entertaining, and our food was excellent. The waitress was very attentive to ourneeds. Read more

We had a great dining experience! The atmosphere was lovely and well suited for large parties and the staff were extremely... accommodating if you are there for celebrations. We were so lucky that Chef Yang was at our table. He made conversation witheveryone and provided excellent entertainment and service. This is a Teppan style grille. The cook was great and food was great. I order filet mignon and ???? lobster. They were both on... point. Even got warm butter ???? for the lobster to dip in. The salad was good the onion soup had a small bite. Was very good. My inky complaint is that they charge $8.50 to share a plate. Me and my wife always share as we normally order tempura andestra fried ???? rice. We always have left overs and tonight we did again. Anyhow my only complaint. Other then that it wasgreat.
