Got to restaurant a little after noon on Saturday with about 1/4 of the tables with customers. Waitress came immediately for... our drink order and brought promptly. She was VERY friendly. My wife ordered a skillet with chicken sausage and pancakes and Ihad berry crepes. While waiting for our order the lady at an adjacent table sent her meal back as it was not what she ordered. A table behind us, not occupied while we were there to that point was not bussed with 3 people at the hostess position and 2wait staff standing nearby talking. Our waitress, a very nice and polite person brought our meals. My wife had to expel herfood as the sausage tasted aged and spoiled and had a strange color in my opinion. She could not eat the remainder. Of the 3crepes I had 1 dad no berries in it and 2 had a few. The taste was strange as if fried in a strange tasting oil as was mywife's pancakes. When the waitress returned to the table she was advised about the sausage. She said she would tell the cook. The skillet meal, uneaten, was not offered to remove from the bill and no visit from the manager. A disappointment in food,lack of 2 nearby tables not bussed and no consideration for food issues. I have to say I was pretty impressed. I?ve heard a lot about this place but this past weekend was my first time dining here. My... three boys (12,10,and 8) and I decided to go out for breakfast. For the price, I don?t think you can beat this place. If youwant super fancy-schmancy gourmet, look elsewhere. Also if you want to pay way too much money for eggs? Look elsewhere. The menuwas diverse, the prices were very reasonable, and everything we tried tasted great! The very berry Belgian waffle was a hugesuccess as were the chicken and waffles and the whole hog breakfast skillet. Best French toast I have had in a long time! This past week I visited Starwood Cafe for the first time and let's just say I... Ioved it so much I went back again the next day. The resturaunt wasn't busy at all mid morning durring the week. The food was ok. My eggs were overcooked and not much flavor to... the skillet. Prices are in line with quality of the food so It's pretty cheap. I would definitely rather go here than let's sayMcDonald's or a fast food chain with Comparable prices for a meal. That being said I can't complain to much. The coffee wassurprisingly very good for your typical Cafe. Service was absolutely perfect. Woke up and felt like I needed to try a different breakfast spot. Sooooo I ended up at Starwood Cafe. Nothing too fancy just... something that would be fulfilling. I chose the patio since a beautiful morning with just a slight breeze. Maria immediatelygreeted me and took my coffee order with whip cream because I assumed no hazelnut creamer. I was wrong she advised creamer wasavailable after all. Also brought me water without having to ask for water. Food was a meh. I ordered the garden veggie skilletwith egg white and mozzarella instead of the traditional menu with pancakes. Everything was extremely timely and I got what Ipaid for in the end. Maria made my day. So if you go ask for her because she will certainly take care of you. Kudos for jumpstarting my morning!???? I gave it a 4-star overall because of the customer service. Both our breakfasts were very mediocre. My wife's eggs benny was luke warm with little taste and my French toast was pitiful... looking. Not like other Starwood Cafes I have been too! Read more
