Antebellum is one of the top 100 restaurants in the US on Open Table and I'm here to say it is well earned. DH took me here for... my birthday tonight and everything was amazing. Service was wonderful and our waiter was both informative and enthusiastic aboutthe menu. The restaurant is a converted older Southern home and quite unique. We started with the complimentary cornbread andgreen tomato jam (warm and fresh, very good) and then we had the baked brie appetizer. I love baked brie en croute anyway butthis was next level with the port wine reduction. In between apps and entrees, we had a lovely small butter lettuce salad withgoat cheese and lemon vinaigrette, which was refreshing and flavorful. DH had the halibut entree. He said that it was cookedperfectly and really delicious, but found the seasoned popcorn a bit of a misstep with the textures on the plate. I had thebraised beef bolognese and no exaggeration, it was the best bolognese I've ever had (and I've had some good bolognese). It wasrich, comforting, so many layers of flavor. The house made gnocchi really complemented the sauce and braised beef and thepepadews and goat cheese took it to the next level. DH liked it better than his halibut. For dessert, we had the sticky toffeecake and I thought I was too full to enjoy it but it was so amazing I found room for it anyway. Definitely a must try. As it wasmy birthday, they also brought me a warm skillet cookie with ice cream and a lit candle. A lovely touch. Ambiance, service andfood were stellar. My most sincere compliments to the chef and staff. Read more

The service was exceptional, drinks were delicious, and the relatively small menu had something yummy for everyone! The setting... is an old big house in a historic area, with wood floors and a porch. We shared Deviled Egg Spread toast, which was worth thetrip by itself. The Ceasar salad was one of the best I've ever had and it was huge! I had the filet served with gnocchi - it wasdivine, and my friends laughed when I kept letting involuntary sighs out with every bite! I had the blueberry lemon martini anda lovely glass of cabernet - the bartender brought over tastes of two other wines so I could pick the one I would enjoy themost. It is no wonder that this restaurant is one of the 100 best in America, I would go back to Antebellum again and again. Ihave absolutely no criticism to offer. Read more

Appetizers green tomatoes and Brie we're good. Ordered 2 salmon plates. One lacked seasoning and the other was really good. If... you're getting dessert go with the toffee cake. Lemon cake was mediocre and so was the Brownie. Read more
