Great Texas BBQ restaurant! As someone with a Texan step-dad and plenty of TX friends, I've been to either Dallas or Houston on... a regular basis many times. This place's decor and menu really reminded me of authentic Texas meat markets. Especially of noteis the spectacular Brunswick Stew. These folks have NAILED a mix of Texas Chili and traditional Brunswick Stew, for one of themost enjoyable stews I've had in years. Incredible work. The ribs also fall off the bone and have a delicious dry rub evenwithout adding one of several top notch sauces. On the slightly negative side, I found their Texas Brisket dryer than othersI've reviewed before in the state of Georgia. Overall, certainly recommended! Read more

Visited Moonie's today for the first time and it did not disappoint! Easily my favorite bbq place in Metro Atlanta. The brisket... was fantastic. My wife had the pulled pork and it also was fantastic. Friendly staff, great food and absolutely worth the wait.Don't want to wait? Can call ahead for pickups. Try it and thank me later :) Read more

The smoked beef plate was outstanding. The baked beans were very home style. The Cole slaw was a bit different than what I'm... used to. It cold use a bit of kick in the dressing department. It was a bit bland. The cut of the cabbage was very good. Gavean interesting texture. The pulled pork was good. The house barbecue sauce was great. The service was excellent. We had ourmeals in minutes. The Tea is pretty good as well. Read more

My new favorite Texas style BBQ in Georgia! 4 trips within 3 weeks, do I need to say more? Lol. This place steals away our... business from Foxes Brothers BBQ, Heirloom, and Community Q (they are all excellent choices). Much better location for folkslive in Johns Creek or Duluth. My friends and I love the smoke pork ribs, sausage, brisket, and chicken - awesome flavor andyet tender. Highly recommended! Read more

I kind of figured it was going to be trouble in one of the guys working in the kitchen took off his hat and ran his hands... through his hair several times wearing the same glove he was going to put my food together with. I found the brisket to be dry. And possibly a little off. The fries were good if I had gotten a few more I would have been happier. And the macaroni andcheese was pretty good also. I may give it another try but I will definitely not be getting the brisket. The Squeeze bottles onevery table were dirty and we were there fairly early in the day so they obviously had not done table cleaning the night before. Read more
