Very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. I had the grilled shrimp with fried Okra and Cole slaw. My drink was a rum runner... and everything was AMAZING!! The manager was helping to greet all the customers and checking to see if everyone was ok. It was avery pleasant experience. Wow! Such a wonderful restaurant! The food was so yummy, I ordered the gumbo and my husband got some fried whitefish and fried... flounder both fried to perfection. We tried their house hot sauce which was flavorful, more flavorful than hot. Talked with ourlovely waitress about the hot sauce and she recommended the boom boom sauce which was AMAZING. The manager kept checking on usevery so often as when he seated us we chatted about how we are visiting from Florida because we evacuated from hurricane Ian.He actually sat down with us to chat towards the end of our meal. I asked for two cups of the boom boom sauce and he brought usa big container of it! The hospitality was wonderful and personable and the food is some nice down home comfort food in myopinion. Really should be a 2, but since this Shrimp Basket location has been our first food stop toward the beach for 15+ years, I?ll... not be cruel. The food today was totally a disappointment for this Shrimp Basket. The fried oysters were fried too fast ? toocrisp with old oil taste on the outside and bitter, not done on the inside. The new potatoes were not done. This was the firsttime that I have ever not finished my food here. The fried shrimp also had the old oil taste. The best part was that the gumboand shrimp slaw were spot on as usual. We hope this was a one time fluke. We may try the Gulf Shores or Orange Beach locationsin hopes this ?off meal? is not systemic. This was wonderful! I had lunch with my family near rush hour on a weekday, and this location was quaint; not too loud, quick... seating, and fast cooks made an amazing dining experience. I had the crab burger, and the only complaint I had was that youcouldn't taste the crab very strongly on the outer edges (the inside was amazing!) Our server was kind and fast to fulfillrequests, and it was over all a very good experience! We will be coming again!! Read more

I?ve found the layout and seating is different at most all of these but the food is consistent. Very busy on Mother?s Day but... got us seated quickly. Don?t try to turn left outta this parking lot. Can?t go wrong with crab cakes and coconut shrimp! Thislocation has covered outside seating. Read more
I have been to many Shrimp Baskets and this one by far is the worst one. Fried food was OK, my red fish with seafood sauce was... so spicy and salty it was hard to swallow. Too bad I couldn't take it back since it was take out. Read more
Milo and i had a good time having dinner in the outdoor dining area. My server was attentive and the place was clean and... friendly. The oysters were fantastic. Milo had the grilled chicken. Musta been good, he is napping as i write this. Good jobteam. Read more
