We had the opportunity to eat lunch at BLU atmosphere was ok. We sat for 30 minutes the hostess came out and asked us if we had... been served yet and said she would get the server for us to place our drink order. After we placed our order we finally got ourdrinks. The adult beverages had ice in them the waters did not. Very little alcohol was in the drinks. When the food finallyarrived after we had sat there for an hour, we were told there was not any steak sauce of any kind nor any other sauces. Thevegetables that were included in the meal looked horrible. Flavorless, and not appealing. Then the check arrives, to my surpriseit was $106 for a meal that would have been better at any other steak house with better service for less money. I would notrecommend this establishment for any reason. Read more

Service was slow... But it was probably from not having any workers. The for was great for breakfast and dinner. Love the... calamari sticks so fresh! I can live off fish tacos also! Read more

The atmosphere is great! We loved the view. The service was slow and got walked by multiple time and finally had to say... something. We finally got our food and it was cold. We revisited and the same thing happened. I’m hoping it was just due tothe lack of staffing. Read more

I stayed here over this past weekend and decided to order to-go from here on the last night. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad,... the truffled potatoes, and a coke. It came out to $30. I took my order to the room and was very disappointed. The potatoes weremissing the aioli, the seasoning, it looked like they just cut up some potatoes threw some cheese on top and sent it on its way.The Caesar salad states it comes with Caesar dressing but there was none and the salad just looked very sad. Especially for $15.I went back down there and they just acted like this was normal??? Idk for a hotel restaurant that usually has high ratings Iwas very confused this is what the food looks like. Just seems very careless. Won’t eat here again if I decide to stay atrides again. Read more

We visited Blu Beach Bar & Grill while we were in Folly Beach during this winter and couldn’t have found better choice. Folks... there were super friendly and the place was empty because we arrived when the restaurant opened, which was great for us. Savoredtasty dishes and enjoyed the beautiful view of Folly Beach. We came to town for our anniversary. This is the restaurant we chose for our anniversary dinner. We had requested specific... seating with our reservation but they could not accommodate as originally promised. This was because a private party that wassupposed to have ended a half hour before did not leave on time. . . So why did I give five stars? (1) knowing what happenedwith the private party they went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure we were happy and comfortable with thesubsequent seating. After everything was handled, the manager came by personally to make sure that everything was okay and toask if he could do anything else to make it better. (2) the food was truly phenomenal. My wife says this was her favorite mealon our whole trip. I never expect anybody to be perfect. It's great when they are, but we are all human. In my mind, the bestway to judge a business is, when there is a problem, how do they handle it and what do they do to make things right. To thatend, the staff and manager here did a phenomenal job. Pictures were taken just after we started. . . We had each already had abite before we remembered to take pictures. . . But the presentation was so good we still wanted to take the pictures. Absolutely lovely, all the way around. Beautiful view, great location (parking is a little tough), good service, and delicious,... simple, fresh food. The trio of guacamole, salsa and queso was very nice. The roasted cauliflower appetizer was a real standout!Fish and seafood was fresh and very good and the fried chicken sandwich was a good sized portion and flavorful. Steak wasexcellent. Wines were pretty well chosen and the key lime pie was very good (and very tiny). Definitely a great place to go,relax, enjoy the ocean view and the food. Read more
