It's nothing like how i experienced dining here only a couple years past. Quality & service of staff seems to decrease each time... i visit, as does the quality of the food. it's rather upsetting really.. although the fish is pretty fresh & the staff willusually get all the orders correct... They are still polite & friendly. i was so excited to take our friend who's first visitthere with us it indeed were, i'd turned & asked them what they thought & the answer was a shrug & a 'meh' and i nodded inagreement. i think it's time for us to find somewhere new. I used to come here very occasionally for the budget price. I just went back after a long absence, and the budget pricing was... gone. The sushi chef was good and nice. The sushi is good and beautiful, but the price quality balance wasn't there. For theprice, there are many sushi bars in the area that I would rather visit. Read more
Customer service: awesome, friendly and professional. Food quality: had miso soup and sushi rolls and all tastes very... good. Portion size: this is something that surprised me and makes me want to come back. A bit crowded dinner time but it's goodcuz everything is made fresh that way. Read more
The service is fantastic, the food could be better. I ordered two sushi rolls, one was hard to eat because of the large sizes... and the other was a sushi roll bathing in sauce. The servers were very attentive and provided fantastic service. The sushi iswhere the 2 star reduction came from. First if you are looking for sushi rolls that are pretty common this isn't a great place.Most of their sushi seems unique, which is definitely great to see. I ordered a baked roll that was served in the aluminum foilit was baked in. Not a great presentation. This sushi was over saturated in sauces. I couldn't taste anything but the sauce. Thesecond roll was cut in pieces that were large and hard to eat. The ends needed to be eaten in two bites. This roll wasn't soakedin sauce and I could actually taste the roll. I enjoyed this roll. I hope my experience is limited to just a bad day for thechefs. The service really was exceptional and would give this location in another try because of the service. Read more
Aloha Sushi as always is phenomenal! Julia was the nicest waitress! The nighttime atmosphere inside Aloha Sushi is lively yet,... calm and sophisticated! My wife and her family have been going there since she was in high school! They are a wonderful stapleof Folsom! We had the Queen Bea Roll, Ichi Ban, Folsom Lover and The Love Roll! I've never been to Japan, but how is the best sushi in the world located in Folsom? This is the most amazing sushi restaurant,... oh my God. I cannot stress enough how fantastic the food was here, it ruined other sushi restaurants for me. Make sure you gowhen Eric is cooking! So as usual we ordered 3 appetizers, the stuffed jalapeños, baked mussels, and firecrackers. Thefirecrackers are wontons stuffed with tuna and cream cheese, and it was my favorite plate of the meal! I highly, highlyrecommend these, and you get 4 for about $10, very worth it! My super handsome and talented fiance ordered the spicy tuna roll,he's a spicy tuna aficionado, and he says it's the best he's had too! I ordered the Aloha Poke Bowl, which had both tuna andsalmon, seaweed salad, crab mix and onions on a bed of rice. The fish was so flavorful! Everything was great, we will DEFINITELYbe back!
