Comfort food that hits the spot. We went to lazy dog as we were passing through Sacramento and what tasty food in large sized... portions! Loved the Brussels sprouts and the fried chicken sandwich. Mother's Day Brunch on a Saturday. My family decided to be in the patio side. We met some dogs and their owners. Not a quiet... side, but we expected it. We had to wait for more minutes before the menu. It was a busy morning. We didn't have to wait for thedelicious foods. They came fast. We're very happy with that. It was worth the wait. Pretty disappointed. I planned a day out for mom and we drove 2 hours to get there. I had made a reservation on the previous... day since I know this place gets busy on the weekends. After showing up on time, I waited 10 minutes in a line watching themgive my reserved patio table away many times. Finally we were told the patio was full, we were seated inside a mostly emptyrestaurant at the tiniest possible booth, in the dark, on the traffic corridor from the kitchen. Our server was very nice, butcertainly took her time. I realize this is a large place and everyone is short staffed, but the manager seemed quite at ease asshe strolled around smiling at people as they waited. Stopped by on Sunday evening for dinner. Not many places open after 8-9pm Sundays so we came here. we were seating right away &... every staff member we encountered was friendly and nice. I really enjoyed their food. The fried devil eggs were good, but the bacon candy on top was DEVINE and made me wish we got just... that. I had the fish and chips and those were yummy. My husband had the sticky ribs and umami fries. Next time I get fries Iwant a side of the umami sauce. I love how their fries are breaded and seasoned. Read more
Had the fried hush puppies and chicken pot pie and Huckleberry Mule. Fried hush puppies were DELICIOUS and I would go back and... eat more of them if I could! Chicken pot pie was a very standard pot pie. It hit the spot and was creamy, savory, and it feltlike it was home-cooked. Nothing special but it wasn't bad. Huckleberry mule was really sweet and delicious at the top half (didnot use a straw) but the bottom flavor of Huckleberry puree was... unique? Not sure how to describe it but it certainly was newon my tastebuds. It's not for everyone but worth a try. The place was CROWDED when I went (Friday night) and servers werereally busy. Our server split the check in 7 ways for my table of 7, which was awesome. It took a bit of time to process the 7checks and some orders ended up being switched on the checks, but I totally understand if there are several different orders anddrinks placed at the same time. The place was very busy but our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The chicken alfredo, beetball squashghetti, and bison... meatloaf were all great. I also ordered a custom drink that fit my diet and they happily made it for me. Would love to go againto try more dishes! Read more
Wonderful location to get a meal and have a drink. The food and drinks were so great. We got the deviled eggs with candied... bacon. They are surprisingly delicious and something I’d absolutely recommend. The drinks were great. The staff was extremelyhelpful and friendly, the restaurant is clean and feels cozy.
