Noticed Sam Horne's Tavern while searching for another new place to try for happy hour / date night. It is smaller than... anticipated, but had a cool rustic vibe that fits Sutter St. with good music playing. It was already pretty crowded for justbefore 5 o'clock on a Thursday, but we found a two seater booth by the bar. SHT has a good assortment of craft beers on tap, afull bar and a pretty good assortment of food items to choose from. We figured out what we wanted ti drink and eat and headed tothe bar where you have to order. Staff were busy, but friendly and attentive. My beer choice was surprisingly good for somethingI hadn't heard of and my lady enjoyed her Moscow Mule. Food was out very quickly and was pretty darn good. Place continued toget busier as we ate, till it was pretty much at standing room only by the time we left. Over all a good experience I wouldrecommend trying. Read more
One of my favorite burgers I have tried in Folsom! I tried the Johnny cash burger and it was phenomenal. The patty is large and... juicy and flavorful. The bacon is crisp but not burnt. The tater tots are simply delicious. They are crispy and have a nice biteto them. It is a first come first serve basis. Find a table and reserve it first. Then, go to the bar and order your food anddrinks. There are 3 booths, 4 tables, bar seating and 3 tall table seats. The staff are amazing and friendly. If you have anyquestions, just ask. Ordered the Johnny Cash Burger and Blue Cheese and Bacon Tots. Also got an Angels Envy bourbon which they obligingly put on a... single old fashioned ice cube. Everything was great, with no complaints, and I consider myself quite discerning with food anddrinks. As I told the barkeep "you'd do fine in NOLA and I don't say that lightly." Read more
Had read the Google reviews and even spoke with a local nearby and got nothing but positive reviews about this place but after... spending $50 here I'll tell you BURGER KING has better burgers than the Western burger that we ordered. Absolutely disappointedbut i might give them a try again with a different burger and change the review IF that burger will match The hype but currentlythis place was Garbage???????? Read more

My husband and I tried Samuel Horne's today for lunch. Great little tap house with a wide selection of beer and decent menu.... Loved that the bartender gives you samples of the different brews to help in making a selection. The food was great! My husbandgot the Johnny Cash burger (delicious!!) and I got the Steakhouse Dip sandwich (equally delicious!!). The bartender accidentallyput my order in as the Steak & Peppers sandwich, so I was able to take a bite of that one as well; don't get that unless youREALLY like spicy food. When the bartender realized her error, she put in the correct order and the kitchen took care of it veryquickly. We would definitely return and recommend Sam's to others. Tucked into old folsom on Sutter Street is this treasure. They have beer and other cocktails. They also have food. I highly... recommend their tots. Wow, they're super crispy with every bite. The food was hot and came out on cute plates. Our service wasgreat. The Tavern has amazing service and good vibes. Recommend. Read more
