WOW! I've been to a lot of Indian & Nepali/Himalayan restaurants, but Sanskrit's Monday Thali plates are the BEST ! Great... Ayervedic balance - this is REAL "feel good" food. Spice balance is perfection in each item. There is a larger variety (& # ofitems) that I've found anywhere. I went with friends: 2 are Indian food fans, 1 barely exposed, and one was a "Fish outta water"- even the 'fish' did ok! They say it's at medium heat level. That's true for Nepali food. The average Indian foodie will thinkits super mild...but this was THALI (the ultimate "Small tastes" plates that you'll find). They did a BEAUTIFUL job of making itOK for everyone but still had a bit of heat. The thali varies every week. GO TO MONDAY LUNCH HERE. You won't regret it. Simply awesome. I had lunch thali and it exceeded my expectations both in taste, quality and number of items(quantity). It was... so good, I want to go back to Sanskrit again and again. Truly excellent Indian food. The Baingan Bharata was perfectly flavored and very delicious. The chicken curry was also very... good, with delicious spices and whole dark meat chicken (mind the occasional fat). Interior decor and food presentation areboth picture-worthy. took my sister and brother in law here because there’s a vegan menu. They are vegan. The food was AMAZING. We were all really... impressed.
