Although the food was good, I was hoping for better service considering the price. However, I don't fault the servers because... they might have simply had a staffing shortage that evening. We had to return the oysters since they had worms on them, luckilywe seen them immediately as they arrived so we didn?t eat all of them just one. Hope I don?t get sick. The steak I got waspassable?not the finest, but yet not the worst. Given the poor service and worm incident, I believe that a final rating of threestars is appropriate. Given the distance from my house, I would give the restaurant another opportunity, but I don't feelcompelled to go again. Restaurant was a tad bit loud so I found myself speaking loader than usual, not that it?s the restaurantsfault just the type of vibes in there. Read more
Really nice ambiance, warm service and great food make Sutter Street Steakhouse a winner. Menu is very nice and not... overwhelming; includes the fundamental dishes you would expect in an upscale steakhouse. Enjoyed dinner with friends at Sutter Street Steakhouse in Folsom. Wonderful dining experience. We shared two appetizers with... our group, the Warm Brie and Bacon Jam and the Calamari. The Calamari was great, but the Warm Brie and Bacon Jam was amazing; itarrived with toasted sour dough bread which we used to spread the Warm Brie and Bacon Jam. Really a delectable appetizer. Fordrinks, I enjoyed the special Wine Flight, which was a trio of Migration Pinot, Decoy Zinfandel, and Green Wing Cabernet. TheGreen Wing was my favorite of the three. My wife enjoyed a glass of House Cabernet. My main course was the Surf 'n Turf whichincluded a 6oz medium-rare petite filet, grilled prawns, and garlic mashed potatoes. Included was a soy wasabi sauce fordipping. My wife chose the twin tail Maine Lobster dish which came with grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes and butterfor dipping. Service was prompt and courteous and not intrusive. Our server was Laura. All in all, a wonderful evening out withfriends, great food, and lovely atmosphere. Read more
Spectacular service and even better food. The ribeye was amazing. Cooked to perfection. Delicious fresh seafood. I had the... pleasure of speaking with Master Chef Ryan and he explained the care given to the selection of cuts, preparation, andpresentation.
