We were looking for somewhere to go to lunch and stopped here on a whim. It had been a long time since I've been to a Mel's... diner. I couldn't remember how the food was, but I was impressed at the service, the serving size, and the quality of the foodwe got. The decor is very nice and it was clean inside, and overall is very nostalgic. If you sit up at the diner seats thenthere are miniature jukeboxes where you can pick a song for a quarter. I highly recommend stopping here if you're looking forsome good old Americana feel and feel good food. Very family friendly! Read more

Great place with a old style feel! Staff was super friendly and completely on top of things with awesome service! Food was... magnificent! Plenty of options and not to pricey! I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. The food was good. No complaints on the quality of the food or the service. Didn't have to wait... long and it was busy for a Saturday late morning. Eggs and hash browns were cooked just right. It was just a little too blandfor my taste. Would have been great with some fresh salsa but this is Mel's so that meant showering it with tabasco sauce togive it some flavor. I would go here again but only to order standard American dishes. Very very nice Mel's dinner. I like it better then the Roseville location and ten times better then Rocklin location. The wait... staff new some of the customers coming. Calling out to them and getting them by name. The food was great, excellent cook atthis location. Our waitress was friendly and polite. This Mel's burger has an excellent atmosphere.
