Service was great and the food was good. The atmosphere was much nicer than I originally thought it would be. However the later... it got the college crowd rolled in. Busy time of the evening, but they were very accommodating getting us seated fast with a toddler and infant. Little noisy... though, but overall experience was great and so was the food we ordered! Read more
First time I ate here. Fries are great. Chicken sandwich is huge (grilled). Chicken is just a little dry (I don't like mayo). If... I get it again I'll ask for some Italian dressing or something to add to it. Overall good. Read more
I came in for a thirst quencher, and I met decent people stuffing their faces. When the employees go to the management to ask... questions to assure an order is correct, that shows they care! I don't know where Joe was. I never saw anybody that was Fat! Myeyes panned around looking for this huge big old beer belly type Santa Claus figure, 'jolly, staggering or falling all about theplace'. I found not even a mere hint to the condition of 'a whole lot of Fat', I couldn't find him! I didn't even meet theMichelin Man, let alone the Pillsbury doughboy! I never even heard anybody say "Eat Papa! Eat!!" Maybe Joe became anorexic while'eating better in his next 30 years!' No smiles of Vegemite sandwiches were on the menu, and no reference of old blokes from'Down under.' It's a nice place, "the beer is good, and people are kra-zy!" Read more
I have no idea why Fat Joe's has a 3 star rating, but my experience was great. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great,... and the servers I had were awesome. I got the byo chicken sandwich one day and a Buffalo wrap another day with sweet potatofries.... and I would eat their food every day if I could. My husband and I visited a few weeks ago while we were in town and wewere both blown away by how good the food is. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting FDL! Read more
Excellent -- both the appetizers ( two of which I had on my last visit, along with Chicken Cordon Bleu soup ) as well as the... meals. Aside from the aforementioned soup, I also had Breaded Meatloaf Bites ( yes, you read that correctly ! ) and SweetPotato Fries. Meatloaf is one of those things that both my wife and my mom make WONDERFULLY, so getting it at a restaurant issometimes a let-down because it never quite lives up to what I can get home-made. I'm glad to report that this instance was anexception. These things were QUITE good...and the three dipping sauces that came along with them were quite tasty, too. Thefries were nicely seasoned, slightly sweet and lightly crunchy, which is pretty much just how I like them. The waitress wasvery pleasant, didn't hover and came back to the table with appropriate regularity. I never turn down a chance to go to thisplace...and the meal I just described above pretty much explains why. Nicely done !! Read more
Not sure why this place only has a 3, considering how many people are here on weekday evenings? but I guess you can?t beat... double bubble in a Tuesday night. They always seem to have really good deals on food and especially drinks. Foods pretty good-I like their make-your-own-burger. Comes with homemade chips and their sweet potato fries are good.
