This place has changed. It's bigger and now has a live band. Apparently it's different one each week. The food is ok. We had the... fajita meat and shrimp, they use ranchera. Also the fully loaded nachos. The bar has it's own seating side. It's kinda smallbut it gets packed. Good music. Read more

The food was mediocre, beef tacos had some kind of pressed meat in it covered in Tons of lettuce, there was more lettuce than... protein. The rice & beans were lukewarm and bland, the good thing is that the staff was friendly and attentive. This is notauthentic Mexican cuisine, if you're looking for authentic go elsewhere. We?ve been coming here for years we had shredded chilaquiles, 3 small pieces of tortilla chips visible. They had no taste ok but... not like before. 18.99 for mixed fajita plate children size portion. Husband and used to be able to share but this time the meatportion was like a very small portion the plate was covered in salad and beans. Very disappointed. Friendly service, great food and energetic atmosphere. I had the chili relleno burrito. It comes with beans cheese and pico de... gallo. The chili was stuffed with a really good amount of cheese and I noticed very few seeds. The tortilla melted in my mouth.The carne asada burrito had really tender meat and a flavorful sauce. We come here once in a while and it never disappoints! Food is delicious, portions are huge, pickled carrots are bomb, and... churros even better! On the bar side I always get a margarita and it never disappoints! Read more
Well, brand new place. This is not Tio's anymore...now it's MoVal BBQ. First review. Friendly owner that has the right... intentions. This is the place to go too if you are looking for inexpensive BBQ. Now please don't get me wrong, sauces and allare a taste thing so opinions might differ but i really liked the BBQ sauce he puts on his meats. Thin, not super thick and notoverpowering. Flavor is also pretty good. The meat is a hit and miss. I really liked the chicken and pork ribs. Really goodstuff. Beef ribs were also not Bad but i had better. Brisket was not good at all. It was hard to pull it apart with just myhands. Very tough. Nice smoke ring but just Soo tough. Flavor was pretty neutral. But i will give it another try some day. It'sso difficult right now during this covid pandemic to find good and consistent suppliers. Sausage links were ok as well. We alsotried all the sides and they were ok. Unfortunately none of the salads, beans and other sides are just store bought and not madein the restaurant. For example, the macaroni salad is the generic one you can purchase at walmart or smart & final. Bottom lineis: if you are looking for a great place to have inexpensive BBQ this is the one to go too. BBQ is not the best but for it'slocation and all it's pretty good. It's also a new place and probably needs a bit more time to get dialed in. It is really hardto leave an all around review for a BBQ restaurant because opinions and taste butts are so different. I recommend going there.It's not a pretty looking place but the owner is super cool and tries hard. He definatly has BBQ experience and for the price hecharges i have no complaints. Read more
