We've eaten here twice in the past 6 months and both times have been amazing. Thank you for squeezing us in the 1st time, we... didn't know that reservations were a must in such a small town. This might be my favorite place to eat in Forest Grove. We found them a few years ago before they moved into the current... location. The food and wine are so good and the staff is fantastic. They even let us a use a 10% coupon a half a dozen timesand kept saying "keep using it until someone doesn't give it back to you". Well eventually the did and its become kind of aninside joke with the staff. Seriously though the food is so good and can you pick a bottle or two of amazing wine to takehome. Urban Decanter is a little gem in Forest Grove. My husband and I love to try new restaurants, and we are avid wine drinkers. The... wine was the first thing that attracted us to Urban Decanter (of course!) and we were pleased to find they were serving fullmeals at their new location. The food never disappoints, the cocktails are delightful, and the service is outstanding!! We areregulars, we go at least once a week, and not even once we had left unhappy or unsatisfied. The artichoke dip was fabulous, our entrees were perfect, and the dark chocolate strawberry tarte was epic. Be sure to pair (the... tarte) with the Chocolate Block wine. Yummmm? and to top it off, cool vibe & great service. Read more
Wowwwwww! Okay, my foodie peeps! You must try Urban Decanter! The restaurant has a beautiful warm cozy atmosphere. The quality... of their food was AMAZING!! We went for dinner there for our first vist. We started with a appetizer of Artichoke dip with afresh baguette roll. I'd have to say that's the best artichoke dip I've ever had! My husband had the Woodfired Bone-In Pork Chopwith red potatoes, seasonal vegetables and seasonal whiskey apple barbecue sauce and I had the Woodfired Halibut dinner withmash potatoes, asparagus and seasonal vegetables. My husband said that was the best pork chop he ever had. I have to agree thatPork chop was tender and moist. The Halibut was amazing. Both dinner entrees were cooked to PERFECTION! Last but not least wehad dessert Cranberry & Orange bread pudding to-go. Amazing!! We will be back for sure! Our waitress was amazing. Service is always great - no matter what time we arrive the staff is SUPER friendly. We've arrived for a quick glass of wine... within the hour that they close and we've never felt rushed. They're more than helpful and even encourage us to not feel likewe're putting them out since they'll be there awhile anyway. (I used to work in restaurants and thought it was a great way toget repeat customers - this is ridiculously hard to find these days!) Food is always great (we usually get appetizers/smallplates/salad rather than entrees most of the time). I think I'm a little partial to these being the best things on the menu too. Read more
