Place looked cute on the outside and had great reviews so I went to check it out. I really needed a cup of coffee that morning.... Went in to find a young woman sneezing into a tissue and throwing it out. Then asked what I wanted to drink as she continued towipe her nose with her sleeve and bare hands, she clearly had a cold. Then I ordered a latte, and she proceeded to make thecoffee. When I asked her to wash her hands, she got defensive and gave me the worst attitude. She then walked behind the counterand simply used hand sanitizer then went on to make my coffee. Being in a super rush, I took the coffee. After one sip, thecoffee tasted like watered down iced coffee. Horrible and I wouldn’t recommend to anybody until this place gets an overhaul ontheir baristas. Read more

What a place!!! Definitely the Red Pipes is one of the most special places in Forest Hills. The Coffee Shop is so cute and cozy,... all the arts from local artists and the decoration make this a great place to spend some great time while enjoying a good cup ofcoffee. The baristas and the owner are so nice, always caring to give you the best customer service, making you feel like homewhen you're at the pipes. They have some great options os food, but the vegan carrot cake is amazing. Do not miss this place ifyou're in Forest Hills and it definitely worth the travel to know this place. Read more

The layout is good to sit with a coffee and read or work on a laptop. Electrical sockets are available. However, I found the... music too loud to be able to focus on reading/working. The food wasn't great. The tables and utensils were dirty. Maybe theywere having an off day. ??????? Read more

I really wanted to support a small business and enjoy my experience here, but the service and quality were both poor. Both... drinks I ordered were awful. I originally asked for the baristas latte suggestion. She told me she could "surprise [me] withmilk" So I just ordered plain "China green" tea, and then a matcha latte as well. The water for the tea was not hot enough tosteep, but my matcha latte was boiling hot and tasted burnt. It was very bitter and unpleasant. It seems there are other betteroptions in the area. Read more
