Haven't been at Fireside for a while. I forgot their food is pretty good. Our group of 6 had one slight miss on their meal,... otherwise everyone was pleased. I'll give this one a 4.5 and recommend you give it a try. My steak wrap was good but spicy,which I like. Check it out, sit on the patio, have a drink and relax. P.S. The staff was great! Read more

Hidden gem in Forest Lake. After our first visit, I'd say it's well worth the drive from anywhere in the metro. Minor downside:... the outdoor seating ambiance could be better. The seating area is not huge and the decking needs some TLC. This is SO minor,though, compared to the food, service and view you'll get. About that food? Burger and Mediterranean chicken pita. Bothexcellent. Their house made tzatziki sauce is dynamite. Their garlic parmesan fries?? Top 10 fries ever. SO so good. The FireBurger was also quite excellent, but the part I was most excited about - the jalapeño cream cheese spread - left a little to bedesired. It wasn't bad, mind you, but lacked noticeable flavor. My inexperienced chef suggestion would be to either add somemore flavor to this (salt, garlic, onion powder, whatever) OR simply give it more of a kick with more jalapeños. Tried Fireside for the first time with a group of 7 celebrating a birthday. My steak salad was very good and the others said the... same. Incredible venue! It's way larger than it seems -- 2 levels, multiple bars, "romantic zone", and event area. Each space has a... different "feel" and all have unique, captivating fireplaces. It's family-owned and they take interest in continually improvingthe experience and food. The main level booth area with XXL fireplace is the most romantic dining spot in/near Forest Lake.We'll definitely be back! Read more
