This is our absolute FAVORITE steakhouse in the Chicago area. It has loyal local customer base and has an old school laid back... vibe. The French Onion soup is to die for. The dinner salads come on chilled plates and the steaks are perfection. The two chefsamazingly move around one another in a tiny open kitchen to whip up their magic in the back corner of the dining room. Excellent environment, welcoming, slightly dated, but it's concept is an old school steakhouse... Having that in mind, expect... warm and great service, true definition of hospitality. Will definitely come back multiple times. Wait time was 0min, seatedimmediately and followed by bread and table service. I ordered pick up from here. Amazing food! I ordered the butt steak, a NY steak salad, and the businessmen. All the meat was... cooked as ordered and was tender. My meals included salad and soup. The food was all proper temperature hot soup, meat, andsides. The soup and salad was delicious. Fast and friendly service and the pick up process was simple. Been coming here for a very long time and you can't go wrong. Steaks are A+. Would recommend the rib eye or the lamb chops and... the baked French onion soup. Great atmosphere, great service, great steak. What more could you ask for. Read more
This was a hidden gem and a great find. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place but it could be a great neighborhood date... spot. Wisconsin supper club vibe in a good way. I just had a chicken sammich and fries but it was decent. The steaks lookedgreat and smelled even better. Also i had a typical "Wisconsin" Old Fashioned which was perfect for what it was. The lighting isa little bright which makes it more of an early evening kinda place. A few seats around a small bar for if I'm just gettingdinner after work.
