One of my absolute favorite neighborhood spots. The patio has a bunch of outdoor seating (and shade!) and their olive burger... can't be beat. I also believe their wings are gluten free (breaded in cornstarch), but I haven't had them in a while, so theymight have changed. Cash only, but there's an atm, and I'd suggest stopping at Beacon Pub across the street afterwards or thebowling alley right around the corner! Read more
Goldybergs annoys me. It?s one of the BEST burgers in all of Chicago but they will never tell you this themselves. It?s like you... have to tell them yourself. Superb. Was recommended by a long time friend to this establishment. This will be my first and last time going here. Food was okay. But... service was terrible. Ambiance was horrible elderly female barkeep refuse to play music. Eventually she turned on the jukeboxand then stated that I'd have to put in money. Ate my meal in silence as she awkwardly hovered over me for my entire stay. BarKeeper was completely unprofessional kept referring to us as "kids". Not to mention that it took her three minutes to analyzeour IDs and wanted to know why we didnt have Illinois ID. Extremely nosey and inappropriate for most of the evening. I was theonly a patron at this establishment at 8pm. Not entirely sure how this place stays open. She made no mention of taking onlycash or "check". Bill was handwritten and there was no receipt. Una us the best, super friendly. They do not take cash, but the time I was there she was super friendly and insisted not to... worry! I was able to call a friend and got the cash need.. and then an extra drink by him. They have 2 sections - like arestaurant area, more family oriented and the Bar. Great and HONEST bar! Read more
