This is not a complaint but rather a warning. I ordered their lake perch from Lake Victoria (which was clearly marked on their... chalk board). However I have grown used to lake perch being yellow perch from the Great Lakes. There is literally a HUGEDIFFERENCE. Yellow Perch is small and can be held in your hand. Unknown to me but perch from Lake Victoria is HUGE and weighswell over 100 pounds and is over 6 feet long. Obviously the taste is totally different. Maybe I should have known thedifference, but I was surprised. So I just thought I would forewarn others. Also another forewarning: they add an additional3.5% service fee to your bill if you pay with a credit card. I realize that this is not unique to them, but most warn you aheadof time with some notation on their menu. Maybe I missed it but I did not see any advance notice. The service was quite goodand friendly for our party of 8 adults and my 8 grandkids. All this is most likely due to my own ignorance, but I left feelingdeceived and disappointed. They really didn?t do anything wrong, except they deviate from policies of most other restaurantsthat I?ve been to. Incredible service last night at Jimmy's Place! Our waiter was a young man who was very pleasant, attentive, well-spoken. ... Very comfortable seating inside and a relaxing atmosphere. Pizza was delicious and served their beer in chilled glasses. Lovethe Fenwick memorabilia too! Read more
My family LOVES Jimmy's Place!! We've gone with big groups after baseball games, on our own as a family and without fail, we... always have a great time. The food is delicious and the portions are huge! We started with an order of calamari as anappetizer and it was perfect. Crispy and just the right level of salt. I ordered my kids one order of spaghetti and meatballsto split and we still had leftovers!! My husband and I split an order of lasagna and it was so good I can hardly wait to goback and have it again. Even the bread they bring to the table before the meal is great...warm from the oven. The last time Iwent in I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy himself. He was so genuinely kind and that alone makes me want to go back tosupport him. Thanks Jimmy! Read more
This is just a great place. Hardy drinks and surprisingly well executed food. Great pork chops, lamb shanks and a huge array of... pasta. I love the rapini and beans. Always a friendly staff. There?s a great little parking lot in the back that not many peopleknow about but it?s there and it makes this place incredibly convenient. Read more
We hosted a baby shower in the party room at Jimmy?s Place. Jimmy and the staff were extremely accommodating and easy to work... with. They allowed us to come early and set up decorations and helped set up the space for what we wanted. We added a few extraappetizers and an open bar to the basic package and it was a great value for the quality. The staff were very attentive andhelpful. Guests were very impressed with the calamari, pizza, and handmade pasta. The desserts were SO good. The staff packedup leftovers so guests could take them on their way out. The whole team did a great job at helping us make a customized familyevent memorable and with as little stress as possible. Read more
Let me start this off by saying that the pizza was absolutely amazing! Perfect amount of cheese, sauce, and pizza dough! The... spaghetti had the perfect amount of sauce. I definitely saw they were short staffed but this whole world is short staff andapart from that we got service fast and sufficient. Definitely going to return for the pizza! Read more
Great service! They made my mother's birthday extra special. The waitress Danielle is very obliging. It was nice to meet Jimmy... too. We all love the pizza, especially the vegetable pizza. I can taste a difference from their Pizza compared to others. Ithink they add either Parmesan or Romano to their cheese. Most likely Parmesan. I would definitely go back. And jimmy, dowhatever you can to keep Danielle. She's a rockstar. Read more
