Had Thanksgiving dinner there. Every part of the experience was great. We arrived early but was seated immediately. Our waitress... and waiter were very attentive to us. The food was great and delivered very promptly after ordering. Would recommend eatingthere. Read more
I came to really like Village Haven until my last visit. I ordered the family style chicken and my chicken was not cooked... properly. Not only that, but I asked for dressing on the side of my salad and it wasn?t. I had problems with some of the food,but some of the service as well. For one, we asked for more cinnamon rolls/buns multiple times before they actually came out.Same thing with the water. I had my plates taken away from me multiple times before I was done with them and, one of them, hadfood I was going to save for leftovers. Very disappointed. I came here 3 times in about a month, but can?t say I will regularlycome anymore. Read more
Been there before and food was decent , so when my friend suggested it I said ok. My friend ordered fish and chips and was... ok. I ordered the family style chicken. What came to table was a dish with French fries that had a very pale chicken quarter ontop of the fries, by the time I finished with my salad and roll the fries were sitting in about 1/4 inch of chicken fattygrease,yuck and double ???? won't be going back anytime soon if ever. Was there this past Thursday, 7:15 pm The issue was thevery greasy, pale chicken sitting on "top" of the French fries drenching the fries in way too much grease. Read more
Last Sunday we got 2 chicken dinners to go. It was the worst dinners we've ever got from there. The salad was had rotten brown... leaves in it, the chicken and French fries were sitting oil, the French fries were mushy and the 2 dinner rolls were like 2rocks you couldn't even bite them. The chicken wasn't even browned. The only thing that was good was the cinnamon rolls. Newowner should take note of this review because we won't be back right away. Plus it took 25 mins to get the take out with no onewaiting. NOTE : Please read the owners response an how rude she is an assumes I'm making up a story. She'll be in business longwith that additude. Instead of an apology like must business owners would do I guess that doesn't work her she would rather berude and cocky. I guess everyone on here that left a bad review is lying. Very unprofessional. Just remember reviews and word ofmouth is your best advertisement. See how long that business last with your additude. Also we did fill up on your ONE smallcinnamon bun that you give with the hard has rock dinner roll or leave the food in the car. What an intelligent thing to say toa customer that supports your business. But those days are over. We've been going there 23 yrs an never had a bad chickendinner. An BTW we're adults not idiots. Chicken was moist and had favor to it, potatoes were amazing ????everyone loved them, spaghetti sauce is more thicker than... previously, cinnamon buns were delicious, salad was so good the staff had to keep the salads coming, Long Island was very good,with the new owners this place is delicious and the food and drinks are on point ???? I think they are still learning the volume of people and food they will be serving. Waitstaff were a little in the weeds... (waitress term for being overwhelmed) but very friendly. Prime rib was dry. Added moree tables. I was hoping for a moreintimate setting.They will improve just gotta get used to a bigger place. I have high hopes for this place Read more
Great bar tenders and drinks, chicken is great if they grill the skin and I only have dark meet, so it is moist and delicious.... Had baked stuffed shrimp last night, over cooked, would have been good if it was cooked right. Onion soup wasn't hot enough, andto much beef base, love the cinnamon rolls of course, just having what we know we like for now on. It was over 100 but we boughtother people drinks also. Read more
