I?m really not sure who would give this place more than 1 Star for warming the food if that counts. You could either order off... the menu or have the buffet. The buffet food was terribly awful with absolutely no flavor. I only liked the corn on the cob withsalt & pepper as it was well cooked. I added what was labeled butter which was as far south of margarine as you can get ????Theplace is VERY OLD and screams for an update. They had catfish, and chicken 3-4 different ways and BBQ brisket chicken friedsteak (I think) which was the worst ever frozen patty and I?m not sure if it was real beef. I went to get a cobbler from thedesserts bar to hopefully get the bad taste out of my mouth and chose a pear cobbler, the pears taste like aluminum can andcrust from a burned pie. My husband and I paid $30 for nothing. I would have said something to the cashier or manager but therewas a patron there already at the front complaining about lack of service to a male behind the cashier (possibly the manager?)and we just wanted to leave as the manager made excuses over & over again it would not be worth the effort. Perfect farm house breakfast buffet, thick cut bologna, homemade sausage patties, honey butter on a hearty biscuit, crispy... bacon, grits n eggs. Cracker who needs a barrel? Read more
Large place with lots of tables. Had to wait quite a while to be seated, then waited another considerable amount of time to have... waitress come to our table. Had a large buffett however we did not partake of buffet due to COVID reasons. Ordered from themenu. Food was ok. Waitress was not very attentive. Read more
Sad to say that I was very disappointed. Friday is seafood buffet for $20. Considering the small selection and the appearance of... the food, I elected to order the CFS off of the menu. It was fairly small and appeared to be a frozen steak. It tasted of oldgrease. Honestly I had to go to McDonalds next door for some cookies to get the taste out of my mouth. The server was friendlyand pretty observant. The cashier acted like she didn?t want to be there. I had high hopes for this place. ???? Read more
Really delicious food at reasonable prices. The buffet has many vegetables and meats all perfectly cooked. They also have a... salad bar and a dessert bar with several homemade desserts. The gift shop has many cute items as well. Read more
Disappointed! Stopped at 7pm, 2 hours before closing. I wanted a salad and my husband wanted meats and vegetables. We?re had... never visited here so asked and was told both are on the buffet bar. Very little was left. There was literally an empty bar forthe desserts. I asked about it and was told they were out of everything and I should have come earlier. Ummm. I?m traveling fromOK to NC. Server brought bill as we were eating our salads to ask how things were and left the bill. She only came by once atthe very end. Thanks but no thanks. If you plan to charge $13 for a buffet, then please have the proper amount of food to offeryour customers. Read more
I spent a whole week having breakfast and dinner in this restaurant, the flavor of the brisket and the smoked pork is really... addicting ... if you want to eat fast and at a great price and enjoy the atmosphere ... this is the place. You can also bringsouvenirs to remember the experience and culture of this pleasant place. And for dessert lovers they serve a variety of localdesserts which is one of the things I went for several times. Read more
What a find!!! Super cute "original" cracker barrel type deal. We ordered to-go because we travel with a dog. The lady was kind... enough to put our biscuit that we ordered on toast. She said the biscuits tended to be a bit crumbly and are not good for thecar. The 2x4 was excellent! Gave us plenty of syrup!! Pancakes cooked just right!
