Went there for a concert and it was miserable. 1. AC was broken so it was hot as can be in there. I would expect some sort of... communication that it was out but got none. 2. Got a table because my back issues and the chairs are not comfy at all. They arevery old and hard. I for one will not be back here at all. My response to your response- 1. Your staff told me it was brokenso they must be liars. 2. I really don't care if you take my suggestion on the old chairs because I will not be going there. Read more
Worst experience at a restaurant in a long time. I took the family out for what I thought would be a nice dinner. First thing... the waitress was very rude (least of my problems here). The experience got worse and worse as the night went on. The appetizerwas disgusting to say the least, worst steak I have ever had, meat was tough and cooked wrong. The manger started to argue whenI told him the food wasn?t great and we were disappointed. Paid the bill and got out of there quick. Don?t go here, save yourmoney and go anywhere else. Read more
Worst experience that I have ever had at a restaurant. As stated in an earlier review by my husband, my family and I were... detained by the staff and not allowed to leave. Management and ownership attempted to extort us for money for a meal that wecanceled and never received. For note, no alcohol was ordered or consumed. We were forced to call Larimer County Sheriffdepartment in order for us to leave. When the officers arrived they informed them that we could not be charged for a meal wenever received. We ultimately paid nothing but my family which included my 13 year old daughter and 1 year old son were detainedfor over 2 hours by staff. They will be contacted by our attorney regarding this. Please, do not do business with these people.We should have read more of these reviews prior. Read more
After receiving the appetizer and it being inedible we canceled our meal prior to it arriving at the table. I informed the staff... I would pay for everything that had arrived at the table but I would not pay for food/product that never arrived and that I hadcanceled. The police were called after I was not allowed to leave the property. Jerry Springer type experience to say the least.Don't go here. Read more
I?ve been coming to the Sundance for years, and I?ve always thoroughly enjoyed myself. Like any place you?ll go, they have off... nights (short staffed, new servers, unruly patrons), but all in all it?s a fun place to go hang out with friends and grabdrinks. Unlike other reviews I?ve seen, I think the DJ, who has worked there for years, is awesome. He?s nice if you?re nice. Hedoes try to cater to the crowd and play differing styles of music? but you can?t please everyone, and there will always beensomeone who complains. It is a country bar after all, so if you?d prefer hip hop or pop, go on college night, not during theweekend. And btw, if you simply go up and request a song, he?ll play it. You?d be surprised how many songs he plays are actuallyrequests. Ever since they switched to the juke box, and whoever has been subbing on concert nights, it?s been line dance afterline dance, and it gets really old. This has been going on for the last month or so, if not more. (Bring back Steve!) The placeis starting to become really worn down, but I?d love to see life come back to this place. That being said, bringing in new videogames isn?t going to do it.. If a place like the Sundance isn?t your cup of tea to begin with, don?t come and leave a nastyreview. My husband and I recently moved to Fort Collins and have been going to the Sundance Saloon for the past couple of months. We... have seen five shows and they have all been excellent, and we really enjoy attending them. The food is good, especially theprime rib, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I really enjoy watching the dancers on the dance floor and seeing allthe different moves they do. Everything has been great, until the night of the comedy show. We came in early for dinner, as wealways do, and when we asked the guy at the front desk if we need to sit anywhere specific, he said no and that it is allgeneral seating. We went and sat at our usual table close to the stage and had our dinner. When the waitress asked us if wewanted to close our tab, we told her no since were attending the show. That is when she advised us that the show had startedabout 15 minutes ago in the front room. We didn?t even know that a front room existed. The comedy show was excellent, and wethought it was great that the owner was the one who was serving everyone in the room. After the show I stopped the owner andtold her that it would have been nice if we were told by the front desk when we came in that the show was in the front roombecause we missed the first 15 minutes thinking it was on the main stage. She gave us a mean look and rudely told us that thewebsite told us that it was in the front room, and there was also a sign on the front desk that said the show was in the frontroom. We honestly did not see the sign on the front desk, and we looked at the website weeks ago so we would not have recalledseeing it even if we did. I then tried to explain to her that we even asked the guy at the front desk where to sit and she againlooked at us even more annoyed and rudely said it was on the website and on the sign on the desk and then turned around andleft. I was curious about the reviews of this place and was surprised to see not many people talking about the dancing. I go here... every Friday and it's a blast. The live bands are fun, but sometimes when it's a bigger concert, people just crowd the dancefloor and don't actually dance on it. So it can be hit or miss unless you plan ahead. The bar is reasonable for drinks and theirprices. I've had their food once and I'd call it average, but that's not really my focus. There are tons of people who also goevery week and know a lot of line dances, so it's fun to follow along. There's usually great swing dancing, too, but they don'tallow lifts (as they shouldn't) when the dance floor is crowded, which it can be a lot. There are pros and cons to a busy dancefloor (I do wish the area was a bit bigger), but overall it's great! Read more
I'd leave zero stars if it would let me. I scheduled my wedding rehearsal dinner here for 30 people. Both my husband and I... called to verify this dinner about a month after scheduling it. I also left a vm the day before because I wanted to triple checkand no one called me back. When we showed up, they not only said that they didn't have us scheduled but they couldn't doanything for us at all. Extremely disappointing, we had to scramble to get 30 people relocated for a last minute dinner.Absolutely terrible experience before our wedding. I will never recommend this place. Do not plan anything with them, theyclearly do not have any organization or compassion. Read more
