I love the ambiance of Sunset and it has the best view in the city. The drinks are well done and the service is very friendly... and knowledgeable. Last time we were in we had a gin martini, a French 75, and some cava. The only reason for four stars is thefood options are very slim. We ordered $5 bar nuts and got a small bowl of cold unseasoned cashews. Read more
High tea on Sunday, what a disappointment. Uncomfortable seating at tiny tables. Food is placed on an old ash tray as a stand,... and was all unexpectedly bad. A single cold hard meatball, egg salad on tasteless rye. Goat cheese tart had separated and wasgrainy and sour. The scones were also bland and stale-hard, much more than a scone should be. They came with frozen butter. Thebest item was a chocolate tart that tasted like it came from target. Tea is poured for you and the tea pots are not left at thetable, so when you run out you wait until staff comes back out from the kitchen; four tables filled today and every one hadempty cups by the time the server checked back. When we switched types of tea they poured the new flavors in the same cup withthe tea leaves from the last flavor still in the bottom. Do not recommend, go somewhere else. Read more
If you're going to rim your drinks with irritants like hot pepper powder, it needs to be disclosed on the menu. I have a stomach... condition and can't tolerate spicy things. I had to cut my night short because I thought it was cinnamon sugar. Boy was I wrong! Read more
Went for High Tea. What an experience. It was my first time. The waitstaff was great. Very friendly. The food was unbelievable.... So delicious. We ate everything. The tea was delightful and they made sure to keep our cups full. Only 4 options of tea though.Which I am told is a small list for high tea. That?s my only complaint. Otherwise, wonderful time.
