As always, it?s a great German restaurant. They used to have a salad bar with amazing things on it that they got rid of due to... Covid. They said they were not going to be bringing it back so, they got four stars. Otherwise it is definitely worth it tocheck out for great authentic German food. Read more

Great place, has been around forever. When you park note that the spaces right in front are metered but the ones 10 steps away... along the street are free. The Ambry is charming with a set up with totally separate rooms holding about 4 tables. The onlyreason I did not give five stars is because we were seldom visited by a server and would?ve had to get up and go looking forthem to submit our request. When we asked for white bread it came out less than completely fresh. Otherwise though the food wasabsolutely excellent. I had the combination plate with pork and sausages and my wife had I think it was veal with Alfredo sauceand Spaetzle. By the way they no longer have a salad bar but they have added a couple of large picnic tables. Charmingatmosphere and tons of beer mugs and antiques. If you?ve never had wheat beer try the Tucher. I?m not a beer drinker but Ialways enjoy this when eating German food. Read more

I absolutely love the ambiance of this German restaurant. I love how they have different areas/rooms for eating in. We were... pretty loud but having a rather private room made it really easy to be able to still hear each other and not feel like we were adisruption to everyone else. The food was fantastic and the drinks were great. Our wait staff was really personable, and helpedmake our time here even more perfect. The details in decor are absolutely fabulous. So much to see all over this restaurant. Ihighly recommend it! Read more

An unassuming, family-owned gem that?s been serving up authentic German food and drink in East Ft. Lauderdale for over 40... years. I can?t say enough good things about The Ambry - step inside and it?s like being transported to a pub in Munich. Theirmenu looks like what I saw when I visited Germany and food tastes just as good. Their early bird comes with soup (go with theFrench onion), salad that includes fresh German potato salad and slaw plus dessert for ~$23 is one of the best deals in town. Iopt for the paprika schnitzel and spaetzle because it?s always perfectly cooked and smothered in a delicious sauce, but theirprime rib is also legendary and I?d put it up against any other restaurant in town including Morton?s or Blue Moon. They alsohave a unique rotating seasonal selection of beers from the homeland and the service never disappoints. 5/5 stars for TheAmbry. Read more

We liked this place. After not being able to get into the place we originally tried to go to, the Ambry had room to seat us. Our... party all got some form of schnitzel and while it wasn't particularly wowing, it was still pretty good. The best part was theOktoberfest beer on draft. We got a boot of it and everyone really liked the taste. The waitresses served in pairs which was abit strange, but they were both attentive so it was fine. Overall a very good experience. Read more

I liked eating at Ambrys! The restaurant itself is somewhat small but very clean, easy to move around in and had a neat good... mellow German atmosphere to it! The service was great, Swift kind chatty waitresses served me and were nice to talk to. Fordinner I had some beef stew, Beef Tartar and some schnitzel as pictured below! The stew was great and scrumptious especiallywith the bread that came with it. The schnitzel was also very good crispy and the sauce was wonderful to! So about thetartar...it wasn't that it wasn't made good but it was my first time trying it and I sadly could not stomach it,if you think youcan though go for it! Overall, aside from discovering I didn't like steak tartar, everything about ambry is great and I'dhighly recommend it for people in the mood for good German food! Read more
