This place has gone down hill the last couple years. I used to eat here 3 times a week now I barely go once a month and they... keep reminding me why. Employees don?t pay attention to your order, something is always missing or wrong. You would think ifyou?re paying $12 for a bagel they would at least put the ingredients they advertise. 6:30AM on 9/15/2022, I asked for a dozen bagels individually sliced and individually wrapped for my office. The short husky... counter girl Melissa tells me they don't do this. This is the reason why the little mom & pop bagel places are better. Thiscounter girl Melissa was just lazy. There was even a man in the prep area just standing around. I asked Melissa why can't thatman do it ? Melissa tells me he doesn't do that, that she has to do it. Whoever heard of the counter girl handling the paymentsat the front counter as well as working the prep area while the prep guy just stands around doing nothing. I'm hoping theirdistrict manager sees this comment and corrects this behavior from these 2 employees but if these 2 employees represent the waythings are done then it probably won't change. Their DM is probably just as lazy. I won't be coming back to BWB. Sodisappointed. Melissa even gives me her business card with her managers phone number. Who knows if that's even the real phonenumber. Friendly advice. A manager does not behave like Melissa displayed. Read more
Friendly inviting atmosphere, staff truly interested in customers enjoyment - a hidden gem, excellent bagels, reminds me of my... college days in Brooklyn, the coffee is hot fresh and delicious without the pretentiousness and infinitely better. Definitelyworth the drive! Read more
Long time local review: Been coming here for years. The bagels are fresh and delicious, especially the Whole Wheat Everything.... Still haven?t found another place with that. Cream cheese is good here too. Staff is friendly, though they got thatSoFla/Brooklyn attitude, which makes it a little authentic but can be off-putting at times too. A few pointers: - whole wheateveything, nuff said - this new Carnegie deli pastrami egg sandwich is overrated. If you do try it, either replace the cheddarwith Swiss or don?t get cheese at all. - always go with the iced coffee. The frozen coffee ice cubes are a must. - coffeeprobably isn?t as fresh later in the morning so come as early as you can for the fresher cup of Joe. - disappointing they don?toffer non-pork options, especially when they?re located in a predominantly Orthodox Jewish area. - Staff can be a little, well,unprofessional at times. I?ve noticed not the greatest hygienic practices so just be observant how they handle yourfood. Overall, Brooklyn Water Bagel has been a great stop for me and my friends and family. They rarely disappoint and it?sbeen a very nostalgic spot to check out, especially when you get to watch them make the bagels fresh through the window. Enjoy! Read more
I used to LOVE this place especially coming from up north there aren?t many places down here were you can get a decent Bacon Egg... and Cheese. The quality of this location has gone down IMMENSELY. When you have staff that cant follow or understand basicinstructions then managment needs to focus on revamping their establishment. Today was the last straw I received my coffee withrotten milk in it and I ordered a very simple Bacon Egg & Cheese double toasted and it came with a huge ball of cream cheese.When I called to the establishment the lady said ? well people eat it like that? im sorry but who tf is gonna eat this. Came here for the coffee stayed for the breakfast! Been coming here for a while and the food is always on point. This time the... place was more busier than my previous visits, but that was ok, as our food came out on time and hot. The coolest thing aboutBrooklyn Water Bagel is their iced coffee, which unlike other cafes they freeze their coffee into cubes, that way your coffeetastes the same as time passes by and not watered down. The coffee was self served so there were many flavors to choose from. Ihad the dark roast with the bourbon pecan creamer, and it was sweet. Definitely a new favorite flavor. For breakfast I had theasiago bagel with a cheese omelette made with tomatoes mushrooms and spinach, yummy in taste and healthy. Gf had an omelette toowith some avocados and an everything bagel. I don't like giving negative reviews so I would like to start by saying that the bagels were excellent. However what they are... passing off as a " jersey boy" was the farthest thing that you could get to a true porkroll egg and cheese sandwich that I haveever had. Not sure what the super thin sliced "Taylor ham" really was except horrible and omg the substance that they arepassing off as "eggs" was some sort of Gelatinous fake disastrous science project.
