They have a pretty nice and respectful set of people working at this location. The food is always hot and fresh which I like but... the ordering process has changed a bit at checkers since it's now an automated service that takes your order and responds at thewindow, It might be frustrating to some but it's not that bad. They took ten minutes and never acknowledge the drive thru. Told to me to go back in line to order. So I left. I?m not getting... back in line with 4 cars. Others cars were leaving it was that bad. Checkers first came out in South Florida they're big buford's and fish sandwiches were very good. As they grew Checkers somehow... change their recipe and quality of Meat and Fish very poor now if you want to keep your audience you have to keep what worksdon't reinvent the wheel go back to where you started otherwise you're not going to keep your customers very long. Very friendly service both the human and the AI! The system uses a good AI to take your order, which works very well and I had... some fun checking it's grasp of grammar and double negatives, which it handled perfectly. I asked about the chicken sandwichesand I asked "there's no bacon on that, right?" which responded "Yes". If I asked "is there bacon on that?", it says no.Unfortunately, the shake and smoothie machine was broken so I couldn't get a strawberry shake or a mango smoothie. The AI didnot know the machine was down. And the person working there didn't have an easy way to inform the AI. The lady referred to theAI "I don't know why she keeps selling those!" which I thought was pretty cute. She works with this "female" voiced AI every dayso it seems like a coworker. Interesting to see we are already living in a world where humans and AI work together. But the ladywas super friendly and real, and I was glad to see a human take care of the order with such a great personality. The AI has along way to go (no personality) but it is still very functional and takes away a lot of the repetitive interactions of takingthe order and getting the details correct. The food was hot, crispy and delicious. Hopefully they can spend a little moreresearch to invest in improving the reliability of the smoothie machine. If they can invent a robot to keep the machine cleanand running well then they will be unstoppable. Looking forward to a future where the smoothies and shakes are always available.You'd think they would make them more reliable. But I'm sure they are working on it. Read more

To rate a fast food Franchise like Checkers one must compare it to the standard of the chain. The Checkers off Broward Blvd in... Ft. Lauderdale hit all the marks with friendly and fast service. I had my typical bacon cheeseburger with the seasoned fries anda large Diet Coke. The meat is typically salty if you like this type of burger and the fries have a rough crispy texture. Thefries if done right will pop in your mouth. They have a double drive thru and no inside seating area. It is great drive and gochoice when time is short. They do have a walk up window and it is great for the locals. I personally do not recommend it unlessyou are a local to the neighborhood. Great value and good eats, give it a try. Read more
During my visit there on Wednesday night my food wasn't made properly as ordered. Had to wait until it was remade by then the... remainder of orders was now cold. $20 wasted and time. Ended up throwing fish away and fries but kids ate their meal. The goodthing was the $7 meal deal but it wasn't hot! Read more
